This lady was squatting in our rental property until April 15, 2016.  She never paid a dime in rent, and moved in without permission while the home was being painted.

Deborah Tomilson is a Bad Liar!

AUTHOR: Deborah Tomilson - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, June 08, 2017

Her "ripoff report" is an attempt to discredit me, Diamond Devereaux, because,

1) She and her attorney drafted a lease agreement that was illegal, requiring payment for rent during a time that I was NOT an occupant in the property, dated April 1, 2016. She also knew that for a two-year lease to be legal in the state of Florida, it must be witnessed by a notary and notarized. It also requires three signatures.

2) I never even saw the property until April 7, 2016. It was during a tour of the property where I pointed out several items that would need to be repaired, replaced, or removed from the property prior to move in.

3) I signed the lease document provided from Deborah Tomlinson and her "attorney"/fiance. All changes to the lease were made by her subsequent to my review of the terms via email and notifying her that a) her request for payment for rent for a time that I would not occupy her property during the month of April was not lawful, despite her several attempts to talk me into paying her because "she really needed the money now...." yeah, right. I am taking residence on May 1st, but you want me to pay for the month of April because you need to lease the place. Sorry, that's not how the landlord/tenant relationship works.

4) She has slandered me AFTER I cancelled my initial payment of $6,000 via direct deposit to her bank account, because I refused to continue to be harassed by her racist boyfriend/fiance/attorney. After receiving permission from her both verbally, via email confirmation from her, AND in person when she personally handed me the keys to the house on April 8th, she wants to try to discredit me and my professional accomplishments. Apparently, her "attorney" coached her well, since she knew that she could not do anything legally to force me to leave the property.

5) So, for those who read these #alternativefacts provided by Ms. Deborah Tomilson, please note that there are always three sides to every story. Just because she has a property to lease, she thinks that she can forcibly take someone's money because she needs it, instead of because she is providing a quality property for a family to reside in for the quoted value of what it is worth.

She's a fraud!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, July 16, 2016

Diamond Devereaux calls herself "Doctor" Devereaux, and claims to be a practicing clinical psychologist.  However a check of professional licensees in Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and D. C., all places where she claims to have lived and practiced, revealed that she held NO professional licenses in those states.  She fraudulently and clumsily altered a lease that had been given to her to change the start date from April 1 to May 1, entered the home without permission, reneged on several promises to pay the first month rent and security deposit, would never give us the name of her bank, prior address, prior landlord's contact information, or prior address, and changed the lock on our property without permission--locking us out.  She skipped out on bail in St. Johns County, Florida from a fraud charge.  She is a dangerous individual who we were ill-advised to deal in good faith with only to be victimized by her deceit.  We are not the first, nor the second, nor the third victims of her squatting.  We found three other reports of this conduct on Ripoff Report.  That is what motivated us to report her--to warn other property owners who might be conned by this faker in the future.

Deborah Tomilson, better known as Debbie, is a liar and a fraud. She is also a desperate landlord who fraudulently entered into a two-year lease agreement with me in Florida, filly knowing that she intended to use my security deposit and two months rental payments to pay for extensive repairs (carpet replacement, lol revitalization and repair, interior painting of a 2500sf property, extensive landscaping (laying new sod to replace dead grass on the front, sided and back of a corner lot) and cleaning and extermination of the interior. I arrive one week before my scheduled move-in, on April 7th from DC. None of the work required to have the house ready for mone-in was completed, even though Debbie reported that it was done. Then, she tried to pressure me to pay for rent beginning April 1,even though I was not scheduled to begin my lease on the 15th. I cancelled. my scheduled $6,000 payment to. her.and left.the. keys at the. property on the 14th.. End of story!
