My husband bought me this timeshare as a wedding present. We bought it from a Rickey who told us that we would have enough points to go to Hilton Head South Carolina every other year during the summer time. I was careful to let him know I needed summer time because I was a teacher. We I told him Hilton Head because that is my favorite vacation spot. We have never been able to go to Hilton Head because according to the sales people we need to spend thousands of dollars more to buy enough points to do much of anything including going to Hilton Head.

Even with our disappointment with the timeshare we have paid all fees and payments on time. In August we went to one of the resorts that required fewer vacation points.  At that time they tried very hard to sell us more points we signed the papers then decided that was not a good idea at this time. So we cancelled the points. At that time I was under the impression that they would continued to take out our monthly payments. They did not so I using my bank payment plan paid the bill. I did use the account number not the loan account number so the money was credited the wrong part of my account. I called them said I was sorry and the very nice lady helped me to put the corrected numbers on my account. She said on October 2 said that the money could be transferred to the correct account in 3 to 5 days.   I was thankfully and relieved. She said she could understand how easy it would be to make such a mistake.  I thought it was over. I did get a few messages left on my phone saying that I needed to call them I waited a few day and called them on October 20 because by now I figured it to be done. It was not done and a rude man said that I needed to make the payments and pay late fees.

I said the only payment that had been late was the first one and that the other lady had said that I would probably not have to pay it due to the confusion. He said that I needed to pay the payment I said that I had he said that he had no record of the payment. I went on the internet and checked my account it showed that I have a surplus of $300. my account and $336.00 short in my loan account. I called a week later to check again to see if the money had been transferred it still had not been transferred and not was gone. It was not in either account. I told him I would wait because I thought it must be half done because it was taken out of one account in the process of being moved to the next account.  Well I talked to them earlier this week and they said I was behind on my payments and need to make a payment now! I said I had bank records showing that I had made the payments. The man on the phone asked me to email him this proof. He was sarcastic sounding. But I did email him the bank documents. Again today a lady called I thought she was going to be happy that we have this cleared up however she was rude and wanted me to pay the payments even though I had sent them proof of payment!!!  Why would I pay a bill I have paid? And have proven that I have paid it??? So they can lose more of my money?

On anther note we were told that our year maintenance fees would be around 400- 500 dollars. Last year they were over 750 dollars I called to ask why so high they said they needed to do repairs on a new acquired resort. But that next year they would go down. Well this year they are 776 dollars and as you can see that is not lower.
