Two months ago I allowed my car to be driven from my residence for repair purposes. The owner known only as Taso claimed my transmission needed repair. I made the grave error of paying in advance.

He dismantled the car and promised daily for three weeks the car would be completed stating, the parts were hard to find and this caused the delay. Now two months later he won't answer the phone and won't open the door to his service center when I arrive. The police claim its a civil matter.

I'm out of $1,100.00, my car and my patience. The last time I looked through the window my car was surrounded by his dog's feces and still totally dismantled. I'm forced to take Public Transportation late at night due to my place of employments' hours and location.

Not to mention three extra hours of traveling time each day are now part of my regime at the age of fifty-two. The extra time used is solely for the purpose of going to work. A local cab company here onced used his services but, have advised me of several incidents similar to this. Now they tell me.

This blantant abuse of my funds, trust and private property are not supposed to be allowed. What true protection is available for women who are not mechanically wise and tend to trust what appears to be a legitimate business?
