I let my niece use my debit card to make a payment to Direct TV for $21.00. The operator was told this was a one time use only and the operator agreed that no other transaction would come off my card.


Then when my niece was not able to pay her bill later on and her service was cut off. She called them and they were to mail her the boxes to mail back the units.


On the same day that she received the boxes to mail them back, Direct TV debited my account for $899.48.


I just happened to call my bank to check my account and that is when I found out that my account was debited $899.48. I was not aware that it was Direct TV that had done this so I assumed someone hack my account and I was terrified!


This was all the money I had and now I was broke. The bank did see that it was Direct TV and I called them and they were very sorry (ha ha) for the mistake and I would need to fax them a copy of my statement and they would review it!!!!


Why do I have to do all the leg work to get my own money back???


So began my journey! Everyday I have called and everyday they have told me it would be 8 business days for it to be taken care off.


I am now on my 11th day and they are still telling me it will be 8 business days and till I get my money back!


PLEASE!! I did not authorize this transaction! I do not have an account with Direct TV nor do I ever want to use Direct TV! Why am I the one suffering???


I have no money to by groceries. I take care of my mother and she has cancer in her pelvic. How am I suppose to live? How am I suppose to care for my mother? I have no money to pay our bills!


I am just screwed by Direct TV !! I can file paper work with my bank but that will take 10 business days now!


What are we to do? We are at the mercy of Direct TV and they are chooseing  to "review it"!!!!
