We we're told by a sales rep in walmart that if we signed up for the 2 year contract with direct tv at the end of 12 months or bill would only increase by $10 for the remainder of the contract (1 more year). They didn't tell us that part of this rate included auto bill pay which we wouldn't have chosen.  We agreed to it to try and keep the bill lower. 

They said they would email the contract with all the details within 1-2 hours.  We didn't receive the contact explaining how much our bill would truly go up after the first 12 months until 48 hours later.  We tried calling as soon as we saw it and they said you only have 24 hours to cancel,  but we didn't even receive it before the 24 hours had past. 

On the 13 th month of contact our rates went up $30 not $10. The following month it increased another $15, they said for a partial month of showtime that was supposed to be free for 3 months and it had only been a little over a month.  This caused me to overdraft in my bank account. I had to cancel auto bill pay to keep from any other additional charges we didn't agree to. Which made our bill go up another $10.

 I have called and spent several hours on the phone with them trying to get them to make this right and they won't do anything about it. 

The sales reps they have at the stores are lying to people just to make a sale. My bill has continually gone up each month.  The latest increase they said they had a 2015 rate increase.  How can they increase your rates in the middle of a contract. If I can't change or do anything about the contract how can they have a rate increase.  They said it will cost us $180 to cancel the contract at this point.

So our original bill was $62, 13 th month $95, 14 th month $111, and are being told or bill will be $104 a month when we we're promised $72 a month. 

Then I saw on the news that they are being charged by the FCC for fraudulent business practices on the 2 year contacts,  the one we were signed up for. 

We want to know where we stand legally to make them honor what we were told,  when we signed up and they took our credit card and ran it.  Then stored it for the auto bill pay that they don't disclose its part off the promised rate. 

Direct tv is a rip off.
