  • DirectBuy - Don Deck 1866 Colonial Village Lane Lancaster, Pennsylvania United States of America

DirectBuy Of Lancaster - Don Deck used high-pressure sales tactics; the high end products originally mentioned in the sales pitch were unavailable when I tried to purchase them; I was seldom able to access the website & I feel totally frustrated that I have literally GIVEN away $3900.00 because I used such VERY poor judgement ripoff Lancaster Pennsylvania

I think more than anything else it's the sheepishness I feel at allowing myself to be taken-in; Unfortunately, I was unaware of DirectBuy when my husband & I accepted the invitation & I must admit that the sales pitch sounded SOooo good. ( you know the old saying "if something sounds too good to be true" etc.) the answers to all my questions were exactly what I wanted to hear & any misgivings disappeared. the check for the membership was written.

It was downhill from that point. I was seldom able to access the DirectBuy web site & when I did, it was a very frustrating experience. The products I was interested in were either not guaranteed for seasonal delivery (I'm talking months & months), were discontinued or worse yet, the specific high end appliances (my MAIN reason for joining) had been dropped by DirectBuy.

In the three years of membership I have not been able to purchase anything I've been interested in AND, of course, there is NO money back for a totally unused membership.

I think that the public should be warned about the downside of DirectBuy since it's fee is considerable & offers no reccourse once you've signed the agreement. There must be some way of breaking a contract when a company operates under the old "Let the Buyer Beware" system.

Mr. Deck did not high-pressure me into joining DirectBuy;( he is the owner of the franchaise).....one of the salesmen who works there provided me with the misinformation I received in addition to NOT asking me what the DB salespeople are apparently SUPPOSED to ask (according to the several rebuttals I've read by DB salespeople on this site),..mainly, "is it your intention to make multiple high cost purchases during your membership?"........ I'm afraid my salesman must have conveniently forgotten that one.
