Discount Readers Club was billed for product not requested was sent a refund check my bank called me check nsf Ripoff Chandler Arizona

Received a call with an offer to renew a magazine subscription at a low rate. I agreed to their terms but when asked about a special package costing an additional $149.95,I refused.

Later when balancing our check book,I discovered that $149.95 had been withdrawn from the account without my permission. I contacted their customer service department.

The representative told me that it would take at least a week to review the taped transaction.

Having not heard back from them after two weeks, I called again. The same representative said that the person checking the tape had not got back to him. I gave him 24 hrs.

Called back the next day, representative said the tape had been reviewed and that I indeed refused the special offer. A refund check for $149.95 would be mailed to me.

Received the check and cashed it the next day. Bank called to say that the check was NSF and that they would debit my checking account.
