Dish TV - Dish Network, Installed Wrong Dish For A Wrong Package Dish Tv people installed wrong dish for wrong package , while we ordered something else, now they say, we cant do anything. While It's all their fault. I've a copy of my actual online application Los Angeles California

Hi, On Wednesday 25 Feb, 2009- I ordered Dish TV connection online from the website http://www.dishnetwork.com and ordered for International-South Asian-Hindi-Mega Pack plus Basic local channel package, which was there for $60 per month. I was going to stay here in USA for 10 months so, did not want a 24-months contract, so I selected to pay $99 extra for that. I even provided all my credit details.

Then I got a call from Dish Customer care, that we recieved application, your now we need more details. Then She said you dont qualify for any promotions, so you have to pay $149 for this. So I said, I'm fine with that also.
Then she created an account for me, gave me account number and other details. Plus she said you have to purchase a card from any outlet like wallgreens, CVS etc for $30 for first time activation.

Then I asked, I want my monthly bill to be deducted from my bank account. and plus give me that Cinemax pack also, which is valid, If I select for auto deduction from bank account. She said fine.

Then I purchased that green money pak card from CVS. Then Installation guy came after 15 days, though installation was scheduled just after 2 days. He installed Dish and asked us to activate, he took 5-6 hours in installation. from morning 8 am to 3pm.

We just sat at home watching the installation guy, he was going back and forth for instruments. and ate up whole day of us.

After activation we saw that 2 channels were coming out of that 16 channels pack of internation-hindi-mega pack. Then we called customer care about this.

Then we got to know from her that this is a pre-paid connection, and she asked us to contact our retailer. Since we didn't know who is our retailer, who made this as a prepaid connection, we asked them, they just said, we dont know anything you call prepaid customer care.
Then whole the day we had been calling to the customer care till mid night. and this is what we got to know about our dish connection.

1) We have a prepaid connection, while I ordered Dish online for Regular service with the package of International-Hindi-Mega Pack for $60 per month.

2) When we asked them to convert this connection to Regular connection then they said, you have to buy a new Dish for this regular connection, which will cost you again $149 and a brand new connection.

3) when we asked them to add more channels to the same service then, they said, you call your retailer. But we dont know, who is that. As we purchased this online from Dish.

4) They all were very rude in the way of taking responsibility of what happened with us.

5) when we asked them to cancel the service and return our money back, they said, You will not get anything.

Now whatever happened with us, this is all decided by Dish customer care exectives, we can not even do anything about this. Our $200 is gone, either we have option to watch 2 channels only. which we dont want.

Or go for a new connection with spending another $200 for new connection. They have done this to us, according to their wish. Now we cant do anything.

How we can file complaint against them, or should we go to police? Please help. I reallly want a strict action against Dish people. I'm having a copy of online form reciept, which I got from dish network.
