Dorschel Auto Group Dorschel ripoff Rochester New York

I bought a used car from Dorschel auto group. They sold me an extended warranty promising that it was bumper to bumper and would cover everything. Shortly after, the door handle broke. The metal sheared. When you pulled the handle it was loose in your hand, and the door would not open. I took it to the Dorschel service center and they said they would fix it. I go to pick up my car.

Turns out the warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on. It covered nothing. I ended up having to pay nearly $300. For a door handle! As if that wasn't bad enough. When I put the key in the lock it would not turn. I got the service manager and told him it did not do this before. He tried to tell me that it probably rusted or froze up because no one had used it since I dropped it off for repairs. I assured him that I have gone away for days before and my door lock never spontaneously froze up on this or any other car I have ever owned. He adamantly denied any wrong doing on their part. It was late in the day.

I left in disgust after paying nearly $300 to come away with a door more broken than when I came in. That night, I took apart the door myself and found that a rubber boot around a rod attached to the lock cylinder was jammed in. The door lock was fine. It was not frozen as they said. They just put it back together wrong. Dorschel, ripped me off on the extended warranty. They charged me $300 to install a $45 part that a child could put on in two minutes. They installed it wrong, and they lied to me. I will never buy a car Dorschel again and urge anyone else to think twice about giving these thieving liars money because they will do the same thing to you.
