Dr David Hazan. Yes this guy is a real RIP OFF Artist. A dentist ? I dont think so. Altamonte Springs, Florida

This so called Dental Implant Dentist, Dr David Hazan got me but good. In 2008 I had an emergency, I lost a crown from one of my front teeth. I was beside myself I didnt know what I would do. I found Hazan in the phone book and he was close to where I lived so I called and got in to see him. When he looked he said that the tooth had to be pulled as there was not enough of the tooth left to put the crown back on. He wanted $5000.00. to start the work for a implant and he wanted it right then before he would do anything. I had dental insurance but he said he wanted the money up front and that anything the insurance paid I would get back. Well I gave him my credit card that had a $3000.00 limit and told him I would have to take money out of my retirement investment and that would take about 5 working days.

                                 I also asked him if he had gas or some kind of sedation as I am rather a big baby when it comes to dental work. He said he had some pills that would relax me. So I sat in the chair and he gave me 3 tiny pills. I sat there for about 10 min and nothing, he then told the assistant to give me 2 more. I took them and I remember him puting the needle in my gums and then nothing till the next day. My husband said they had to wheel me out to the car as I was completly out of it. He said when we were pulling onto our street I was trying to get out of the car, he had to carry me to the bedroom and put my nightgown on. I did not wake up till the next morning and had no idea how I got in bed. My mouth was a mess he had stitched my gums and tried to form some kind of a tooth from what I do not know. It looked like a donkey tooth. I went back and took him the money out of my retirement. while I was there I asked him what kind of medication he had used on me as my son had said it sounds like the date rape pill. He would not tell me, he just said he had a friend who mixes them up for him. I thought this was very strange and I started thinking what kind of a doctor would give someone such a strong medication without even asking for any medical history from the patient.

                                I had to ask him to please take this donkey tooth out as the stitches were mixed in with the cement or whatever he used and it was loose and every time I tried to eat or my tongue rubbed against it I was in bad pain as the stitches went to the roof of my mouth and I had, had them in over 2 months. So he said he could make a flipper which is a bit of plastic with a plastic tooth. The next week it was ready and I went in and he charged me another $400.00 for the flipper which I thought was terrible but it looked a bit better. The next time I went in was to get it checked and he wanted more money. As it happend my husband had just got laid off from his job and I told him I cant afford to be paying all this money, so he said that I should apply for a care credit which he did at his office for another $6000.00. By the time I was finished with him it had taken over 1 year and I had paid him over $12,000.00. My insurance had paid him over $1000.00. When I asked him for the money he would give me a bunch of crap and I never did see any of the insurance money.

                               This man assured me that the other crowns were fine and secure and that I should have no problem, so I had a partial made. When I went in to get it he put it in and I have never felt such pain in my life. It cut all my gums and I had to yell at him to get it out. He put it in again after drilling something on it and told me I would have to get used to it. Well I have had partials before and know they are not supposed to make your gums bleed and cause so much pain. I left it in over night and spent a sleepless night in pain. I called him the next day and told him this was no good I could not wear it so I went back and he said he would make another. When I went for the new one even he could not get it in so he went to his little room and did something to it. He came back and put it in and told me to take it out and put it back in. It was still painfull and I told him so. He said get used to it Im not making another your gums will have to get callouses. I found out that on each side of my mouth where I had teeth pulled there is bone sticking out under the gum and it should be shaved off that is what is causing the pain. He also put a crown over a tooth that was so bad that it was breaking off and I still have pain in it. But I would put up with that rather than go back to him.

                                  He has his office door locked and he has to buzz you in. His waiting room is a hallway outside other offices. It's as if he is afraid of someone coming in and doing something to him. Just about every time you go there is a new assistant and a new receptionist. It is a very strange place I have been to many dentists in my life and have never seen a set up like this. There is something very shady about this man and I would recomend anyone who is thinking about going to him to stay away.

                                  I am going to see another dentist next week and I am going to have them check everything this guy did because I know he lied and did not do things right. Oh! and my crowns that were so secure, well guess what? I lost another one. This man should not be allowed to practice anymore. All he wants is money and more money and does not care who he rips off to get it. When I first went he had quoted me a price of $5000.00 and it ended up over $12,000.00 go figure. He had me over a barrell and he knew it. He kept calling my house for me to go back for checkups but I just never answerd the phone. There is no way I would ever go back. As for the lady who,s son had a seizure I bet he was given the same pills as he gave me. I wish they would investigate this man and his ethics as like I said something is just not right.
