I've been with this company since April of 2004. Unfortunately, they have charged me at the highest interest rate possible and being a college student, making ends meet can become rather difficult. I have had late payments before, but that is simply because when I request to file an extension, I am told that I HAVE to be late before I can successfully do so. Once I am late, I am then told, "No, you cannot file an extension". Of course, this puts a person in an unending cycle of late payments, interest, and excessive fees making my contract go on for ages as opposed to seeing the light at the end of a tunnel. I have filed a report with the BBB and was given an extension on my payments for 45 days. WONDERFUL! Until I had to have an emergency surgery which ate the payment that was due immediately after the extension expired. I called Drive to let them know that unfortunately my payment would reach almost 30 days late and instead of a cooperative representative, I get attitude and comments regarding my complaint to the BBB! What's that about? I obviously had to complain because of people like this representative, but obviously that complaint just was not good enough!

In a desperate attempt to get away from Drive, I went to trade my car, it turns out that car dealerships also have problems with the service from this company! Not only did Drive almost refuse to give the dealership I went to the information requested, the company informed me that they use the highest interest rate possible to keep you upside down until you have almost completely paid off your car; this practice caused the dealership I visited to discontinue their financing through Drive years ago!!

If you can get away, do it now! If you can't, file a complaint with the BBB, the FTC, the CCC and whoever else you believe can take care of this unending problem!
