I spent just over $400 on software called "EA Shark 7.0" that is used to trade on the currency markets (Forex). I installed the software but found that it ceased working after a couple of days.
On the website there is a clear 60-day money-back guarantee. I contacted the company on five separate occasions, each time requesting a refund. To begin with, I was fobbed off and the request for a refund was never addressed. After a while, the company ceased replying altogether.
My complaint is not against the software (although it lost me $50 in two trades - but that's the nature of trading) but the fact that the company advertises a "peace of mind" refund guarantee (which is what convinced me to buy the software in the first place) only to completely ignore all refund requests.

Finally got a refund but it wasn't easy...

On the sixth time of insisting on a refund; threatening to go to Visa to dispute the payment; and of notifying everyone I knew not to do business with the company, I finally received a refund but it took numerous emails and just over a month.
