Michael (Mike) Allsbrook, while being a very talented baseball umpire and recruiter, has a true talent in sales-and in ripping off unsuspecting umpires/leagues/equipment companies who have dealt with him.

Within the past few years, he has started up different titled companies to include East Coast Officials and Umpires USA, and an unnamed 2010 company, currently in development & training.  Serving as the commissioner for Umpires USA, I personally witnessed him ripping off a dozen or more umpires under numerous different scams.

The scams included:

1.)  Pocketing money that was collected for dues/registration of umpires that were never officially registered in the national system.

2.) Taking up-front money for orders of umpire equipment that was never purchased.  He reported that equipment was ordered, but his vehicle was stolen with the equipment in it.  Research revealed that a police report was never filed.  Money was never returned, nor was equipment ever issued to the umpires.

3.)  A personal vehicle was "borrowed" until his vehicle was located.  However, he used this vehicle for his personal use, had an accident, and never paid the umpire restitution for damage to the vehicle, as promised.

4.) Took up-front league monies for umpire services, then never paid the umpires after officiating was completed-estimated back payments totaling over $2,000 (including myself).  He was unable to make payment to us, citing family issues and loss of job.

5). Borrowing of money from multiple umpires without repayment.

6.)  Suspicious activities including the hiding of personal living address, secretive lifestyle, making promises never kept, etc.

I recommend that you do your homework before working with this incredibly talented, smooth-talking, yet conniving entrepreneur.  You need to talk to local leagues and equipment companies for any other information on Mike Allsbrook.  He has ripped off local recreational leagues of money and services.
