A buyer claimed an item (Samsung Galaxy III phone) was not delivered and ebay refunded the buyer $310 then withdrew same amount from my bank account without my permission.

"I shipped the Samsung Galaxy III on 5/28/2013, I have post office paperwork to prove it. The tracking shows it's in transit and out of my hands (LK045522506US). The usps options during shipping showed availability of usps tracking for this shipment and so I chose it believing that's all I need... I went to my post office today and called their international number, both say the tracking shows it's in transit and their system cannot "see" any further. I am sure most sellers are not familiar with millions of postal tracking rules and regulations, I sure am one of them. Just because the tracking does not show delivery does not mean the item was not delivered. I've fulfilled my obligation to the buyer by sending the item, according to usps the item has been delivered to the Ukrainian post office and there is no way I can communicate with them, it is the buyer's country therefore more in buyer's hands now than mine. Also, I checked the buyer's history, he purchased another Samsung Galaxy i747 just four days after he purchased mine (item 151053357721), it may mean something or it may not. Ebay withdrew $310 from my account to pay the buyer, I feel that is an unfair and bad business practice. The buyer most likely has received the item and now has my money as well ...and ebay helped him achieve that end. Ever since this incident I've read many posts online (even on ebay forums) about this ebay policy of siding mostly with buyers, yet it's the seller who pays ebay for the listing. Many sellers feel "ripped off" by ebay, I feel ebay has no right to forcefully take from the seller and give to the buyer. Their "buyer protection" program is an insurance for the buyer at the expense of the seller.
