Echo Lakeside Porter Lummus Thermostat and heating mechanisms are a nightmare Peachtree Corners Georgia

- Thermostat and heating mechanisms are a nightmare. The heating here blows cold air 50% of the time. Maintenance has assured me this is intended functionality as the air is supposed to ease into heating. That’s nice and all except it’s freezing half the time when the heater turns on. The thermostat is also ancient and probably compounds this effect. My power bill is on average $20 more than my previous apartment which utilized a Nest thermostat and I always had immediate warm air there. Rent was also $2-300 cheaper there, so this is pretty unacceptable in my opinion. This is easily the biggest con.

- Mailboxes are located outside attached to the leasing office instead of being with each unit. This can be extremely inconvenient especially during this brutal winter.

- “Club house” isn’t open 24/7 and is pretty tiny. Hard sell when you’re looking to pay upwards of $1300+ for rent to live here.

- Water here is all “high efficiency” which means it’s extemely low pressure. YMMV, luckily my water bill hasn’t been that much higher than my previous apartment, but it does worry me if I have to double flush when going #2.

All in all the apartments are awesome, probably my favorite unit that I’ve been in. Just some glaring drawbacks that make me question the overall value of paying what it costs to live here.
