Our bank contacted us about a charge of 49.95 that was being made to our account monthly. When I called the company the first time, I was unable to contact anyone. Then we were given an another number in California to a Computer Supply Company. I have only order a couple items on e-bay with our credit card and it was not computer supplies. I do not know how this company receive our card number, but they need to be stopped.

Thank you for comments below. Edelweiss Card is NOT the same as Online Supplier. Online Supplier are a company that uses the processing facilities of Edelweiss Card.

The information supplied on your credit card statement would have contained the telephone number of Online Supplier and NOT Edelweiss Card - as in fact Edelweiss Card is a processor.

Your bank may have advised you that 'Edelweiss Card' appeared on your statement, but you will notice that this was only ever a temporary transaction - and in fact when a charge was made, it would have been posted as the online supplier description. The reason for this little technical hiccup? ... because there is currently a small technical issue that Visa (yours will undoubtedly have been a Visa card) are looking into. No Charge would ever have been confirmed as Edelweiss Card. It would have been in the name of the merchant.

Your original transaction would have been made with onlinesupplier. The recurring amount would have had to have been authorised by you. This would be how your information was obtained.

It appears that the only regrettable issue here is that a) you could not contact the company with whom you originally made a purchase in order to cancel the recurring transaction, and b) your bank gave you misinformation about Edelweiss Card and you incorrectly assumed that Edelweiss was at fault here.

We monitor the merchants we work with very closely, and greatly appreciate any feedback we get detailing instances of poor customer service.

Should you review the information here and find that what has been written is correct, it would be appropriate to post a response acknowleding that in fact your complaint is directed at Online Supplier and NOT Edelweiss Card.
