I went to El Torito in Foster City on a Sunday day. I came back an hour later, and my Porsche 911 was broken into. Someone stole a tote bag with dirty clothes in it. I parked in the dead center of the parking lot, in the middle of the day, and it was still broken into. There was a man in his car next to mine chatting on his cell, so we asked him if he saw anything. He said he worked there and had been sitting there for an hour and hadn't seen anything. I was inside for less than an hour, so he was there when the break in happened. The El Torito employee's car was positioned so it was looking at my car the whole time he was in it. How did he not see anything, or hear a loud glass smashing sound? This leads me to believe that an employee did it, and he was covering for him.

I am aware that the employee may have not seen anything, and it could have been someone else. However, my concern with El Torito is that they know this problem is happening. Foster City has low crime, and the police officer and the El Torito manager both acknolwedged that break-ins in that parking lot happen all the time there. If break ins are happening all the time in your parking lot, why is there no signs saying to make sure all belongings are hidden, even tote bags with dirty clothes in it. Or why is there not a security camera to deter robbers?

The answer..because it makes them look bad, and they don't want to deter business. They should have their customer's interest at heart, not their sales revenue.

Also, the food and service are absolutely aweful. The food tasted like it was all orginally frozen or canned. Stay away from this terrible place at all costs.
