I checked my account tonight so that I could buy my kids some much needed shoes tomorrow after school. I did not have the $700 that I thought I had, instead my account balance is NEGATIVE $3000!
I immediately call the bank because oh my God this has to be a mistake, they informed me that there was a civil judgement against me by the State of NY. She then gave me this number and name of this firm to call tomorrow and get "more information". I am devastated.
My baby gets disability into that account, how can they keep her money? Is this legal? I am going to call this firm tomorrow but from the reports that I have read I do not see an easy end to this. I know that I have bad credit and have made some very bad choices in the past but can they be allowed to simply take everything you have without even letting you know? I am going to call them tomorrow and try not to cry but I do not see how I can even pay my rent next month!
