 Empire today came to my new house to show carpet samples. They assured me the sample I chose was much better than builders grade . The carpet was installed in February and it is now Oct and I can see all seams in the carpet where it meets in doorways and midroom. The carpet is smashed down in high traffic areas. There are gaps on the staircase were the carpet should meet the wall. The carpet is also coming up at some of the edges where it meets the tile. We paid $5000 to recarpet the entire house and were told it should last for 25 years. It has not even lasted one year. The builders grade carpet that came with the house that was 17 years old held up better than the crap empire has pawned off on us. Do not buy from this company. They are a fraud and a scam .
