We applied for a loan modification and paid the company $4700 for the processing. They had us complete forms, write and sign a letter to our mortgage company and then they filed the papers with the mortgage company.

After 4 months we were denied and went back to Empire Home Savings and they were gone - literally. They closed the business, phones were off (including cell phones) and our money (which was a money back guarantee) was gone as well.
