I have contacted my American Express Company after failing to be able to contact Encore Mktg. regarding a charge on my statement of 1.95 which I did not authorize. I was told by my charge card company to notify Encore Mktg. but I can not reach them in any way. I did e-mail but no response. Where do I go next. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. From the other people that have written in the problem started the same way and I do not want to receive any other charges from them

The small dollar amount is often a "test" by a person attempting to steal identity and credit. The small amount is just to check to see if your card is active.
I would DEMAND to know how, where and when the charge was made. I have heard about this situation a number of times. I would move swiftly to get it resolved.
I empathize with your challenges of getting AE to help.
