erie construction erie metal roof/bill madden/dave richards agreed to have faberglass shingles shown to me on my roof for over 15,000. after having 5 men who didn't speak english show up with a substandard product and them not answering questions...couldn't get the office..weekend...they worked. looks good, but not what we agreed to.. after the forieng guys were done, i was made to sign the dotted line. plum Pennsylvania

i inquired about a roof from erie metal roofing.  got a call from a local branch..i think.  a sales man and aid came to my home and we agreed on services.  a contract was agreed on so work could begin, as well as a price.  workers came and did the work, but i had questions about what was being used.  i had agreed on fiberglass shingles but the shingles they had were much thinner than what i'd been shown.  i tried to call the company to no avail.  the workers could not answer questions since none of them spoke adequate english.  my roof was already torn off when i saw that the shingles were not what was agreed on.  no answer again on calling.  i didn't stop them.  i was afraid to..  they did a nice job, i let lthem use my bathroom.  i was presented with a contract to sign before they finished of which i had questions about so i did not agree to sign at that time.  after speeking with the project manager and getting yelled at, i just signed to get therm out of my yard.  they were all sitting ther waiting to finish until i signed.  i was given a limited warranty for iko asphault shingles after i signed for the work done.  not what was on the contract.  i owe 15,000 for bs i could have had done for 8?  tired of these companies doing this to older people.  this was all on a weekend when i had to work.
