Erie Roofing Erie Construction Failed to give promised gift card for a sales presentation, used high pressure tactices, triple the bid of other companies Holt Michigan

Erie Construction came out and gave me a quote on a new roof. They had an advertisement on tv that installation would only be $89 and we'd get a $25 gift card for getting a quote from them. My house is a 2000 sq ft ranch with an attached garage. I got a quote for both metal roofing and asphalt roofing. They took 2.5 hours to finish the presentation, and after quoting me $77,937 for a new metal roof, and $46,185 for a new asphalt roof, pressured me to sign. They lowered the asphalt price down if I would give them 20% down and they would throw in another $2104 off for my husband being a veteran - making it "only" $37,809. And if I would give them another half hour of time they could offer me a really special price for signing that day and giving them the deposit right then. I said we never signed on the same day for anything this expensive and that we had two other roofers giving us quotes also, so I would have to wait for those quotes to come in. At that point they packed up all their stuff and said the savings for the 20% deposit and the additional savings for the vet discount were no longer valid - those were only if you signed the day they came out. When I asked for the gift card, they responded that was only for customers who signed a contract. We will be getting a roof installed within the next couple of months, but not with Erie. I hate high pressure salesmen, and $46,185 for an asphalt roof is ~$30,000 more than the quote from next roofer that came out - one with a 4.8 star rating. Seriously - how stupid do they think people are????
