I too have fallen victim to the wrath of FCNB's unethical business practices. I have and would be making all payments on time if I knew when they were due.
All the ex-employees and everyone else seems to throw the "terms of agreement" gauntlet out in front of all that is said.

They also throw the "read the back of your statement" in as fodder for the masses.

This is quite the assumption, that there is such a thing.

The customer service personnel that used to answer the phone claim that FCNB does not have to send a statement, But, under the annual membership fee section it states you will be notified on your billing statement the month before the fee is due.

Obviously, the only way to know which month that would be is to have recurring monthly statements. The fact that statements didn't get sent out was a precedence set by FCNB to recover more funds through late and over the limit fees.

Let's call in some of the ex-employees and threaten to attach their personnel assets under a lie detector and see just what kind of "business" was actually being undertaken.

I would love to settle my balances at a lower percentage, just to bid all encounters with FCNB farewell. The problem is I can't find anyone to deal with.

The real problem here is our duly elected are so afraid of the banking industry that they exempt credit cards from usery laws, allow defunct banks that deal in high risk credit cards to be rendered insolvent and still allow them to practice the same ethics that caused the downfall.

Doesn't anyone remember the S & L scandal? Folks, we are the ones that run this country, not the candy asses who think they are in control.

If everyone would realize one thing, we have a national debt in the trillions, allegedly, and the only way this country can continue to stay afloat is CREDIT, good AND bad. Without it the devastation to corporate America would catastrophic.

Who would be buying the union made cars, new houses, TVs, computers, furniture, clothes, or any other consumer goods?

We would only purchase staples and fuel, of which a large portion would lessened also if the oil company cards were thrown out.

When are we going to stand up and be the Americans that were so proudly displayed for the world to see after 9/11? Or was that just a pseudo-patriatism for media response?

The working poor needs to unite in a cause to take the silver spoon out of the mouths of the banking industry and put them back in the service industry where they belong.

Think about this; FCNB is just one in thousands of consumer rip-off entities out there. The poor and working poor make all their PROFITS, late fees, insufficient check charges, and high usery interest rates.
H
ave you checked to see what they pay to borrow short term from one another???

Let's stand together and fight against FCNB as a start. Any lawyers out there that ain't "skeered" of the bankers, then move on toward the upheaval of the consumer unfriendly tactics of all lending institutions. Let's make them WORK for our business and EARN their salaries like we do.

Then let's really hurt them, it will mean sacrificing some of our own, and QUIT BUYING ANY CONSUMER GOODS ON CREDIT. Don't fall for the rebates, the "incentives", or especially the "low-introductory rates".

Let the "haves" have it. Let's see if the rich are so zealous when trying to PRY profits from one another.

Stand with the "have nots" until the car lots, clothing stores, TV & appliance stores, furniture, and jewelry stores are so FULL that they are paying US to take the merchandise.

Let them get their "consumers" from the dirt poor regions of Mexico, Iraq, Liberia, and Afghanistan. The government seems to spend plenty of our monies in those places, let the banks and corporate America go there to earn it back.
