Dear Mr. Joey,

You are obviously focusing on one issue here, which has nothing to do with the whole thread. You are drawing attention from the other claims. No, did I even mention once that black people are unintelligent. I happen to think they are very successful, and great contributors to this planet. So no, trying to make me look like the bad guy racist is not the way to go. I'm sorry to burst your bubble there pal. Now that I have that cleared up.

Do you advertise on prime time NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Foxnews, ESPN, or The Weather Channel? Those channels have been proven to pull the strongest ratings. Whereas, the other stations don't pull strong ratings compared to the above mentioned. These stations pull in millions of viewers on a single night. BTW, your company does the advertising during the day, not during the evening. Sure, it might be because the offices close at conventional times, or it might not. But one things for sure, your straying from the big crowd and laying low. So don't detract everyone's attention from what I said in the original post.

The contract terms are absurd. Sure, you may verbally agree to bank drafts, but that is a scam. You don't allow the packet to be sent to the consumer first, and let them read the price quote, then the layaway terms. It says you must sign the contract and return it with a voided check to agree to the terms. But your company gets the consumer with the verbal authorization, that way, by the time they get the contract, it is too late. Why do they charge a one time activation fee? That isn't advertised in the commercial. Neither is the 3 months of payments. The main idea here is, your company targets those with bad credit, because your company knows those with bad credit will likely be more desperate.

That's how they make their money. As far as the computers go, who in their right mind will pay $2267 for a 2.4 ghz celeron processor laptop, when in fact, (AND FORGET THE d**n FINANCING AND 29% INTEREST WHERE THE CONSUMER ENDS UP PAYING THE SAME AT DELL, ITS NOT AN ISSUE HERE, ITS CALLED BUYING A COMPUTER WITH CASH)that consumer can save up the money in an envelope for 4 months, and have enough money to buy a similar laptop for $700 to $800 directly from Dell or Gateway. Or buy a desktop with the money. You know it Joey, your company knows it, but refuses to admit it.

YOUR COMPANY OVER PRICES ON COMPUTERS THAT ARE RELATIVELY LOW QUALITY. But you knock around the bush by bringing up the financing from Dell B-S. The cold hard truth is the consumer can save up the cash and buy it outright. And if they do what I did, save up $1500 and buy a Toshiba Widescreen laptop. With almost triple the space (Hard Drive), Intel Pentium 4 Processor with HT Technology, and many other goodies. All while you continue to offer a generic black box which has done poorly on win benchmark tests, and does poorly compared to competing models and superior models; overpricing none the less! I did a quote on the computer and it was going for less than $1000!

Go to bestbuy or compusa or officemax, or even toshiba and tell me how many laptops you see with faster and superior processors, more RAM, better HD space, and DVD burners ect, with many of them under a Grand. BTW: I just saw a commercial from dell for a COMPLETE desktop system from dell for $799, that does include a monitor and printer, as well as some software with it. So wheres the extra 600 dollars or so you charge go towards? Excessive commission? The companys piggy bank?

The truth hurts doesn't it. Untill you can prove to me that a 2.4 GHZ Laptop should sell for 2267, (MINUS THE FINANCING BULL YOU'VE FED US) and why it is better than a Toshiba or Gateway (with a faster higher quality processor) that sells for 600 or 700 doilars less, I will consider what you say as a worthless attempt to protect that company you work for; Financing Alternatives, under a shade of guilt, shame, deceit, illegal and immoral profiteering, and darkness.

I know one of the Execs, or maybe even Mr. Christian himself sent you here as a stooge to scout out stuff. The emails, the reports finally got your guy's attention. You know its not good. I have spread the word in the Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado area. I also got a friend to do some advertising in Austin, Texas. All via radio stations. It specifically points the listener to this site. They will all see this, and when the commercial comes on, they will say to themselves "It is more prudent to stuff money into an envelope and save for several months; that way I can buy a much faster and better laptop with more high end features for less than the computers Financing Alternatives offers. And the company only targets those with bad credit. So obviously it is going to cost more." That is what they will say to themselves, Joey.

Here's another thing Joey, I am willing to bet you that your interest rate is as high or higher than the '29% bad credit financing' at Dell (again, I highly doubt Dell will charge that kind of interest rate, or even finance someone who's credit is completely shot for 7 years). For 2267, a laptop that obviously retails for less than one thousand dollars, what exactly are they paying? The shipping? Taxes? Extra cost for the "free 600$ software value you can find in a bargain basement at Comp USA for 1.99-4.99 a title?" the cost of doing business with this company? Activation fees? INTEREST?!??? Hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder.

Untill you stop defending this company under orders of the higher ups, you are just admitting guilt that you take part in this over pricing of computers. Why doesn't the owner Mr George Christian come on here and make a statement?? He doesn't have the cajones to! He could care less. He is more interested in making money, and he knows a lot of this is true, but he knows he has to make his money right?? Well, I hope you can sleep at night knowing all this exposure your getting. On the net, and now the radio (thanks to me). I just hope you get a better selection, and try being competitive! Don't worry about making 800$ in finance charges and competing with your arch nemesis Blue Hippo.

Oh BTW: Blue hippo now offers Plasma TVS. They are a step ahead of you guys! Time to chunk out the old and in with the new eh? I can tell though, that your company isn't very successful. It is very hard the past 7 yrs you've been in business. That's why you all moved your offices. I do know a little thing about your company thanks to Experian's business credit report. Others might not know, but I do. Tsk Tsk Tsk, bad news for your company, I know that much.

Thank you and good night,

"to be the man you have to beat the man! whoo!"

I was not sent here by anyone. I just happened to be checking into Blue Hippo and figured I would search my company as well. Yes, Blue Hippo sells TV's. Have you even seen thier computer deals? Bottom line gateway systems with only a cd rom, not rw, no camera, no printer, just the tower and monitor for the same price. now if you wanted to add more money a week, for the same thing we have, by all means. Rent A Center sells TVs. What is your point? Other than the fact that a Blue Hippo computer is junk and RentACenter charges 50 a week for 18 months for the same set up... but its used. Oh, and Blue Hippo lost thier contract to DELL because they are going out of business soon due to legal issues.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever bought a car? Do you know how much over the acutal cost price you pay? OR how about a pair of Nike shoes. Costs $1.50 to make a pair, but they charge $140.00 for you to buy them. Why?

And I can't tell you that a 2.4 ghz computer sells for that amount without adding the FINANCING. Because you have obviously missed that we are a FINANCING company, of course there are going to be FINANCE charges.

you say "(AND FORGET THE d**n FINANCING AND 29% INTEREST WHERE THE CONSUMER ENDS UP PAYING THE SAME AT DELL, ITS NOT AN ISSUE HERE, ITS CALLED BUYING A COMPUTER WITH CASH)". Well FINANCING is an issue here. People with horrible credit or no money can't just up and go buy a computer for cash, and surely can't get approved for credit through DELL. Anywhere you finance, you're going to pay more, for the convience of MAKING PAYMENTS, rather than paying in one large lump of money, which most people don't have. If you are one of the privileged, sure go buy a computer cash. Anyone at our company will tell you that. But the majority of the callers we speak to have kids and bills and major debt. One year of financing is a great program, because it does not put you in the hole another 4-5 years like other programs where it is proven that they will miss more payments, thus increasing the time and interest and debt.

There is no longer an activation fee. Plus, we tell the total price of the systems, or the consumer easily figures out the price. You seem bright enough for figure 35.99 a week X 52 weeks = $1871. And the three month layaway I have explained. We aren't just going to send out a computer for one payment of 35.99. Thats just plain stupid business. Would you sell me your car for 35.99 payments, but give it to me only after the first one, not knowing anything about me, my credit history or anything? More than likely, no.

Dell is the number one company in the world right now. That is what makes it stand apart from Toshiba and Gateway. Hell, even Gateway has closed all of its country stores because of bad business. DELL will run adds of course for lower pricing from time to time, but only for limited times. We have set pricing with them and doesnt change for thier limited promotions.

And I peronnally have sold 30 computers to colorodo.
