Florida Prep School -Florida Prep Academy Ripoff Worthless Checks Unpaid Overtime Port Charlotte Florida

I have worked for the Florida Prepatory School/Florida Prep Academy in Port Charlotte, FL since August 15,2005. Since that time I have recieved a total of fourteen paychecks on a bi weekly period. In that time I had yet to recieve a paycheck that didnt bounce or have been told non sufficient funds when I would try to cash it. Not to mention payday was the 15th and 30th each month, but the excuse "we were to busy to write your checks or the money isn't there, check back tomorrow." Maybe the next day I would get my check. Most of the time I had to wait a day or two, but I did have to wait four days before I recieved a check and then two more days before I was able to cash a check. Not to mention my bank holds their checks for two weeks if I deposit them because to many have bounced. Including all the 8 dollar fees I have to pay everytime.

Since then I have quit and work for a fabulous company. I was even nice enough to give my letter of resignation along with a two week notice before I did quit. But the final straw was today! I no longer work for them and still have problems. I was able to pick up my check yesterday on a deposit it only promise but you could cash it on the 17th of March. Today is the 17th and non sufficient funds. The bank legally cant give me anything saying that. They can only copy my paycheck showing I tried to cash it. Two days after payday no money available for the 80 hours I already put in. Not to mention the 22 weeks of 4 hours a week of overtime they owe me. They say it was agreed upon in the begining of the year that I would work 4 extra hours and only get paid for 40. Who in their right mind would agree to that.
By the way this school is a well known school in Florida and everywhere for their basketball team. In 2005 although they lost, they ended their season in the state finals.They played on a national level this year.(For being kicked out of the high school level for the chancellors forged documents)
