I ordered a pair of skate shoes for my daughter a month ago, and guess what? They haven't come yet, although they sure didn't waste any time charging my debit card!! I didn't think much of it at first because my order confirmation said the shoes would ship in 1-2 weeks, and then I figured it would be a week or so until they arrived. I have tried calling their toll free number as well as their local CA phone number AND the number of their parent company - ALL have the "this number has been disconnected" recording. Lovely!

I have emailed them and haven't gotten the courtesy of a reply.

I wish I had read the Ripoff Reports and BBB report (who gave them a big, fat F) for this company. What a total scam! I don't know if it will do any good but I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I just want my money back so I can do business with a reputable company that will appreciate my business.

This company is a joke

AUTHOR: Davinci - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 28, 2009

I am following up on my previous statements about this/these companies (freestyleshop.com and boardwest). As stated previously, I called Boardwest and was told that he (the man I spoke with) had nothing to do with freestyleshop. Of course they had sent a confirmation for shipment right after I spoke with him and left a voice mail for freestyleshop.com on the 11th of December (13 days after the initial order). On Monday the 14th I called again because the order number was still saying nothing more than USPS had been notified electronically of a potential shipment. The woman at freestyleshop.com told me my order had shipped at 10:45 am on the 11th despite USPS not having any record of having the item. The order did actually finally ship about an hour after I spoke with them over the telephone, on the 14th of December. The items did ARRIVE a couple of days later. A whole lot of hassle and lies from the company in order to get the items. They fell back to their 3 day to process and 10 BUSINESS days AFTER that to ship. It is my opinion the only reason these items arrived is because of my pushing them as well as contacting every place imaginable including the local police (who seemed very interested in the company).

Now I will go back to Boardwest claiming no association with freestyleshop.com but that they processed the credit/debit payments. This afternoon my son received a call from a man he claimed to be very rude. Upon looking at the caller id, it was none other than Boardwest. This man was extremely rude, trying to tell me what I was or wasn't going to do and claiming I lied in my ripoff report. He threatened me with his "lawyer". This, the same man that has no affiliation with freestyleshop.com. He wanted to avoid my question about his association with freestyleshop.  So if you have issues with freestyleshop.com do call boardwest as he/they OBVIOUSLY have an association/stake in this company. One more harassing call from this company or its associates and I am hiring myself a lawyer! Their track record speaks volumes of their practice.

I stick with my previous posts about this company. If they can get away with keeping your money and your goods I do believe they would! Internet research shows the same complaints as far back as 2006.

Luckily my child got his shoes that he worked very hard for. We were lucky! We ordered a pair of boots from a different company just a week after this. We placed the order on a Friday night and they arrived by Monday afternoon. Now this is good business and made me feel better about internet companies. Freestyleshop it was not! There is no reason what so ever an in stock item should take sixteen days to ship! This guy must think everyone in the world but him is an idiot!

BEWARE is all I can tell anyone researching or thinking about purchasing from this company.

Still ripping off customers

AUTHOR: Davinci - (U.S.A.)

According to the tracking information provided by the company, it took them a month and a half to deliver this woman's package!

I am two weeks out from an order with this company. They initially hit my card for the amount and then took it again. They pointed me to their faq's which state : "10. WHY WAS I CHARGED TWICE?

You have not been charged twice. We authorize every card when the order is placed. An authorization will look like a charge on your statement, however it falls off in 24-72 hours. You will not be charged until the order is ready to ship."

Which did not apply. It had been 8 business days since both charges were made and the status of my shipment was still 10 days out!

I tried calling the two numbers associated with freestyleshop.com and boardwest of Surprise Arizona. Boardwest told me they only do the credit card billing for freestyleshop.com and gave me a different number. I was informed that no one would be available until 10 am on Monday.

Here is where it gets real fun. After calling them tonight, leaving a message that I was going to call my bank and get my money back and being told they were closed (and had been closed for three hours according to Boardwest and freestyleshop.com's number). All of the sudden I got a shipping confirmation. It gets better, the UPS tracking number is not valid!
I followed their link as well as went straight to UPS (see below)! Convenient? I wonder if it is possible to report this fraud to the United Postal Service?
