FTFTFTFT Cancellation policy was a lie. Letter was postmarked postmarked w/in the 3 days, but they still deposited my check. Golden Colorado

A young man knocked on my door, stating that my next door neighbor sent him to me. He appeared to well dressed and very mannerable. He said he was trying to raise money for school, so that he could attend a trip. I allowed him to come in, because if it was pertaining to school, then I felt I could have been of assistance. He explained that if I wanted to cancel the order that I 'd have to do so within 3 days of the purchase. The letter had to be postmarked as such. After he'd left, my neighbor approched me, because apparently, the young man told everyone in the building that she had sent him to their apartments as well, and that was how everyone allowed him to come in, under those false pretenses. That's why I decided to cancel. I sent the cancellation note off the very next day, only to check my account a week later and find that the company deposited my check anyway, even after recieving the cancellation notice.
