Fulfillment International Corporation mistreated and ripped off Coldwater Michigan

One of many?

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a female representing Fulfillment International Corporation. She told me (on the phone) that I was one of 80 lucky winners of a Orlando vacation combined with a Bahamas cruise and optional vacation in Mexico for two persons.
I was also to receive some leather bags and a CD.
The total value was US$4500.
I was only to pay a total of US$937 for some fees.
In addition I had to arrange and pay my airplane tickets.

After I had given them my card number (silly me) I was transferred to another person in FIC. This person told me that the conversation was recorded and that I was to answer his questions.
During this conversation I was very surprised. This was not the same information that I had received a few minutes ago from the other person. Unluckily I answered his questions.

Shortly after, I started to check FIC through the internet, but the only information available was via ripoff reports. This was not very assuring so I sent an e-mail to FIC cancelling the purchase and explaining the reason why.
I have received some answers but not a confirmation of the cancellation.

Then to my surprise when I was checking my card account,I
discovered that the amount of US$937 was already transferred to FIC.

Since I first was contact from FIC they have not, even though I have requested it, supplied me with specific information about
the "vacation".

In addition, since the day of tranfer they have not even
answered my e-mails.

I suppose, even if you are as stupid as myself, that there are
legal acts protecting consumers from this kind of business.
