I first contacted Full Spectrum in April for a quote on re-financing my current mortgage and was told that to get a more accurate quote I would have to get an appraisal.

I was re-assured by Matthias Mendez that in the event, we decided not to pursue the loan with them, Full Spectrum will release the appraisal so we can reuse it. So I gave them my credit card number and my account was debited for $300.00 on April 26, 2004 for the appraisal.

On May 20, 2004, the appraiser came to do our appraisal and told my husband that Full Spectrum had not paid him and it would cost $450.00 if we paid now or $600.00 if we got billed. So he paid the $450.00.

After completing the paper work with full spectrum, they said we were ready to close, I was told by Fabio Personetti(not sure of the correct spelling of name) that he was sending a notary to my house and to make sure we sign all the documents.

I called the Notary and asked if she drop off the paperwork for me to review and then we can schedule a different day to sign, because I am not signing anything that I did not review. Two hours later the Notary calls to tell me that she can't find the documents in the system.

On the next business day I spoke to Fabio and he told me that they needed even more information from me for the underwritting department. I became frustrated with them and asked to cancel my application.

A week later I recieved a call from Monica Madrid the branch manager, telling me that she would like to help work things out. I explained to her how could I be ready to close if they still have questions about my credit report. She said she would take care of it.

On June 10, 2004 we were ready to close again, when I asked to review the documents, since they did not send me any to review, the notary could not find the documents in the system again.

On June 14, 2004 Monica Madrid calls me to let me know that the documents were sent out the week before, and don't know what the problem was. She told me to make sure I sign all the documents and they can change anything that requires changing later. That I have 3 days after signing to cancel.

The notary arrives to my house with the documents and I discover that what we agreed on is not what is on the documents. Also, the documents have different dates on them. The documents are dated for June 11, 2004, The closing date was for May 24, 2004 and I was viewing the documents on June 14.

All in all, I contacted Full Spectrum to let them know I am cancelling my application with them and I would like them to release my appraisal and a refund of $300.00 that they charged my account for the appraisal.

I contacted Monica Madrid and she said that I would not get the $300.00 refunded because I was the one who walked away from the loan. And as far as the appraisal is concerned she is not going to release it because the appraiser can do what ever he wants to since I paid him when he came to do my appraisal.

According to the appraiser, he can not change over the appraisal because he is the client of Full spectrum/ countrywide and he can only change it over if they release it.

Full Spectrum...... they screwed up my closing as well.............

AUTHOR: Angie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 28, 2004

I was in a jam by the time they finished playing around with my closing papers; I didn't have a choice but to close with them. Countrywide could have foreclosed on me. I was being refinanced from Countrywide to Full Spectrum (sister, brother, muthah whatever companies) The good faith estimate had the wrong payoff for the old mortgage giving me the impression that I would be able to pay off all of my credit cards.

These were not on the first HUD that I received because they had upped the mortgage payoff substantially. I had to request HUDS from them, they didn't send them on their own the second and third time they made changes. They screwed around with the payoff to Countrywide, charged me interest on the 4th HUD for all the days they put off the funding of my loan, after it closed, because they kept changing the documents, charged an additional amount on the HUD for an appraisal without informing me that they would be doing this (they negotiated a smaller amount that I paid via checking account because I couldn't afford to pay what they first quoted) all this substantially lowering my cash back figure even further that on the second HUD they sent me.

They sent the right of rescission 3 different times and had me initial a change on it so many times that it ended up going back to the way it was originally signed. I have fought them via phone and email to get the cash back that I was due. They provided 4 different HUDS, 3 different right of rescissions, 3 different Truth in Lending statements.

The branch manager tried to help supposedly but was moved from her job at Full Spectrum to Countrywide and no longer was handling those duties. She handed me off to someone else that didn't want to disburse to me what she had told me that I had coming. I have been told via phone 7/29/04(they will not put anything in writing) that they are going to give me the late charges on the big credit card balance that I still owe and the balance of the cash back.

It is supposedly in accounting for "approval" at this point and will take 2-3 weeks. I WOULD LOVE TO FIND A PREDATORY LENDING CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST FULL SPECTRUM/COUNTRYWIDE TO DONATE SOME GREAT DOCUMENTATION FOR EXHIBIT. ANYBODY OUT THERE?

Full spectrum lending is a sister company of countrywide home loans. full spectrum is a sub-prime lending company created because countrywide is being picked apart by over 10's of thousand of law suits mainly in california which has 17,200 law suits against countrywide/ full spectrum lending alone. The appraisal company who did your appraisal is owned by countrywide (landsafe).I consider you a very smart consumer, never sign anything without reading what your signing.you were taken for a few hundred dollars but if you continued you stood the chance of having a number of problems with this company and its not fun. If you know anyone who is using countrywide or full spectrum lending, look at this site before going further.
(DELETED...This link did not go anywhere) or look up (countrywide lawsuit) you wont believe what you reading.
