A representative of G&K Services came to my office and proposed to my manager to provide their services to clean the towels from the clinic to the highest standards with a full satisfaction guaranty that we could cancel the contract at any time if we were not satisfied with their work.

Based on this promise we decided to try their service. However, within a few weeks after we started with them we found dead roaches in the towels that they delivered to us. We immediately contacted them and requested the cancellation of the contract as we could not take a risk of exposing our patients to this source of infection.

But instead of understanding and cooperating to cancel the contract due of their unsatisfactory work, and as they had offered at the time we signed the contract with them, they refused to cancel the contract and billed us for $2,245.01 for three years of unperformed service, plus "breach charges" of $17,478.30, plus attorney fees of $2,958.50. In addition they threatened to file a lawsuit against us.
