Giambrone Law ILP is a broad-based, progressive and modern Italian law firm with a strong team of Italian and European lawyers and a reputation for delivering high calibre legal services. 

We have an award-winning Italian Real Estate Department advising foreign clients on all matters of Italian property law and tax.

I clearly do not know who this person is but it appears that this post is an hoax and has been made by a disgruntled former employee or a competitor law firm with the sole aim of discrediting Giambrone Law, which is regarded as one of the leading Italian law firm.

This post fuels hatred and contempt against our firm and appears to be harboring a bitter competitor who can have complete anonymity without recourse. The beauty of this forum is that anyone can go on them, create a false nickname, post false allegations and basically accuse anyone else of being a thief or a rip-off merchant.  

All the allegations about the Law Society and SRA are misleading because, whilst it is within the powers of the SRA to investigate the conduct of lawyers, the decision to investigate a lawyer does NOT mean that the lawyer is guilty or has committed any wrong-doing. 

If it was true, as this former employee alleges, that there were "large unreconciled balances" or "large monies which were impossible to trace", clearly the SRA/Law Society would have been able to take disciplinary action against Gabriele Giambrone or Giambrone Law LLP after 3 years? 

This has not happened, and under English law, there is a presumption that anyone is innocent until proven guilty. 

No disciplinary action has been taken by the SRA against Giambrone Law or Gabriele Giambrone from August 2008 (when the SRA visited the premises of Giambrone Law LLP in London) to date (March 2011) and therefore any allegations of wrong-doing, which have been refuted, are unfounded.

Anyone reading this post would therefore conclude that these allegations are malicious, unfounded, false and have been made by (presumably) a competitor lawyer/law firm with the sole aim of steering business away from our firm by using dirty tricks.

The truth always come out in the long term and the reality is that Giambrone Law ILP is still regarded as one of the leading Italian Law Firms providing legal services to private and commercial clients around the world on all matters of Italian law.

Our Italian Real Estate Department for the Calabria Off-Plan market was relocated to Palermo because this office is the closest office to Calabria and therefore it is convenient to assist clients from a local office. 

We have always had the Head Office in Palermo - at least since 2005 - so it is also false that "Gabriele Giambrone run off to Palermo to keep this scams operating" because he has always mantained a strong presence there. 

Actually, Giambrone Law is regarded as the biggest English-speaking, International Law Firm in Southern Italy, with more than 30 lawyers and legal executives in the Palermo office alone.

We also have offices in Rome and Milan, covering the entire Italian territory from tip to toe, unlike most of our competitors.

For the avoidance of any doubts, former employees of Giambrone Law LLP did not "leave every few weeks" but most of them were made redundant due to the economic recession and an internal restructuring process, which involved the transfer of the majority of operations to the Italian branches of Giambrone Law: this is maybe a further reason why this former employee feels the need to discredit the firm on a public forum, to vent his/her anger for having been made redundant.

The internet is a powerful tool but can be a dangerous one and thankfully laws will eventually change and this type of freedom of slander will be a thing of the past. 

Our firm strongly supports constructive criticism but not when it involves hatred and vile accusations with no firm evidence or concrete proof.
