Garo's Union 76 Repair Shop Rip-Off and Malicious Intentions

I entered into a verbal agreement with Bobby Garabedian, owner of Garo's Union 76, in the begining of Nov 2000 to purchase an 89 325i BMW for $1500.00. He asked for a deposit of $500.00, and he stated that the car would be in good driving conditions when i pick it up. I mentioned to heim that the car would be driven in the freeway, and it needed to be in good driving condition. Bobby agreed and said it would not be a problem. I delivered the $500.00 deposit and Bobby promised the car in a week. He took two weeks to fix the car, and when i went to pick it up the vehicle, said i could not drive the car unless i get tags for it. Since he was refered by a friend, in good faith i registered the vehicle under my name. When i went to pick up the car, the BMW drove and sounded like it was falling apart. After my test drive, i told Bobby that the vehicle was in horrible conditions. I mentioned to him that the vehicle did not seem safe to operate in its current condition. He did not want to return my money. He kept $240.00(60=for smog check, and 60=for towing, and 120.00 for registration fees). He returned $360.00 after a month. When i went to pick up my money, i turned title over to him and he would revers ownership. Bobby was mad he did not sell me this money pit that he purposely got 8-10 parking violations, every other day, while the car was still under my name. This man is sneaky and malicious. His business practices are unethical. Potential customers should be warned about this type of individual.
