I answered 1 of several adverts (threads) on a UK based Airgun Forum selling a air rifle and scope. Mr Norris wanted to be paid up front before sending the gun by mail but he promised that "Once the gun arrives, if you are not happy please contact me and i will collect the gun and pay the money back to you. I can not be any fairer than that." I paid and received the gun a few days before Christmas.

The gun was sent with the scope dismounted. As soon as I put the gun to my shoulder and looked down the barrel, aI could see it pointed to the left. To cut a long story short, Mr Garry Norris has not told the truth since he knew I wanted to return the gun.

At first, I assumed it was just a bent barrel and I could replace it. So we agreed he'd sent me 25 cash in a registered envelope for this new barrel but I recieved a cheque for 20! And this was after me telling him I'd discovered more faults, like the scope being no good on close targets in 3x and 9x magnification.

There was also a scdrew missing from the stock and the cylinder (body) of the rifle is twisted... so the metal gun sits askew in the stock.

When talking to Mr Norris to sort this out, he said he'd stopped work for the holidays yet when I range his mobile, he was 'in the warehouse'! He was also trying to encourage me to agree that his parcel arrived at my home damaged as he could then claim off Parcel Force as then, and I paraphrase, 'he wouldn't be out of pocket'.

The guy is an out-an-out liar and a cheat. I wouldn't trust him nor the company is is involved with.

I wanted to reurn this gun and get my money back but I've given up on this as Mr G Norris is making this hard. The only way people can be warned of conmen like this in our midst is through sites like this.
