First, let me clarify that I never have and never will sign up under this company.

Second, I got wind of this company by way of an advertisement placed on Craigslist.com. The listing was short and sweet. The ad has since been removed, more than likely flagged by other Craigslisters for removal, but the ad included a sentence that read, "basic computer skills needed." So I, like probably many of the other people who were in on the conference call with me, thought we were being offered a regular job. I received an e-mail with instructions to call a number for a "group interview" at a certain time along with a password.

I called into the "group interview" this afternoon and after a few minutes into the conference call, I figured out it was an MLM presentation and not actually A JOB OFFER. After the "phone interview," we were asked to access a website called "freedom.ws/ " and after the slash, we had to put in a username given to us in an e-mail. The username was from the person who sent us all the same e-mail. We were asked to basically sign up for GDI under this person who sent the e-mail, and she would be our "sponsor."

I asked the woman who was in charge of the conference call was this an MLM? She flat out said NO. I then mentioned that if we were to sign up under the sponsor's website, that money would be given to the sponsor and if we were to get someone to sign up under us, then the same thing would happen, therefore, that makes GDI an MLM. The person then backtracked and said, "There's nothing wrong with an MLM!" I told her, "I didn't say there was anything wrong with an MLM, I was just asking YOU for CLARIFICATION!" She then repeated, "There's nothing wrong with an MLM!" And again, I told her that I never said that anything was wrong with it, but asking her if GDI was an MLM. Even though she said it wasn't, she knew that's what it is. The person in charge of the conference call never did outright admit that GDI is an MLM, but I think folks got the gist of what I was saying, and hopefully, they hung up shortly afterward like I did.

My problem with GDI is NOT that it's an MLM, but that FALSE ADVERTISING WAS PLACED! The ad came across as if to imply that one would be applying for a regular payroll job as an appointment setter or doing office work, not an MLM program. If you start off with dishonesty, then I don't see where the respectability of the company lies.
