Globe Life Insurance Ripoff and targeting the elderly Oklahoma City Nationwide

My husband purchased Life Insurance for his mom and paid faithfully for a year and a half. In February of this year we took her to the emergency room complaining about pains. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and released to a rehabiliation center 5 days later.

She was gone for less than 2 hours before she was readmitted to the hospital again but this time she was unresponsive and was put on Life support. We the family was told we needed to be prepared that she may not regain consciousness and should call the family together to say our goodbye`s.

Less than 2 days later, she died on her own as we could not bring ourselves to take her off the machines. We called Globe Life as the funeral home needed to know how we would pay for the services. My husband paid over $70.00 for copies of the hospital records and an additional $20.00 for the records for the less than 2 hours she was at the Rehab Center which they sent back with "postage unpaid" and we had to pay the $5.90 due that they owed.

Now here we are almost 6 months later and they are still saying they are awaiting the same reports that was sent to them to show it was NOT a pre-existing condition. We took the money we was supposed to pay our home closing costs with, to pay for a local service to bury her, as we could not send her body back to her native country and ended up losing our earnest money and the home we had a contract for because we assumed Globe Life would pay for her final expenses.

This company is a joke and does not pay!! They have had all the reports that the hospital has and we feel like they are purposely trying not to pay. I wonder had we not had money in our savings and 401k, how long would the funeral home kept her body.
