Golden State Overnight GSO Overcharged for inadequate service Pleasanton California

GSO quoted us a rate to ship our product overnight that was competitive with another hauler, so we chose to try them out. They picked up the item as scheduled but did not deliver when promissed. When we inquired about the product, we were told they could not locate the item. The driver mishandled the item and tore off the shipping label. We were told however by one of their agents, that the item was sent somewhere on the wrong truck, but now was sitting in there warehouse. The product was eventually located and delivered. They then offered to credit the delivery, but that was not the case.They now deny any wrong doing or ever giving us a rate quote at that price. Our next contact from them was to be informed that we owed them 3 times the amount of the rate quote. They continue to expect payment of a bill that is double the original quote, with the threat of turning it over to a collection agency. We have since called GSO for a rate quote for the same exact item and got the same original rate quote price. This price again matches the quote we rceived from a competitor hauler we currently use. This shady and irronious behavior is a poor example of standard business practices, and we are not going to pay for their problems. Will do what we believe is right and pay the amount originally quoted, dispite being so poorly treated and served. We would never recommend GSO to anyone and will warn all our business contacts not to consider this unscrupulous company.
