We purchased 3 tickets to the Rush concert.  We were excited until the tickets were received.  The face value on the tickets totaled $94.00 each, yet we were charged $174.00 each.  Plus Fees and service charges.  I called the customer service number listed on the receipt.  The first person I spoke with would not allow me to speak with a supervisor then hung up on me.  I called back and asked for a supervisor.   I was greeted with a man who started yelling at me.

I told him they are "scalping" tickets.  He told me since they are not physically on the property it isn't scalping.  He told me that when concerts are sold out the demand goes up.  (Our concert isn't sold out yet).  He told me there was nothing I could do to fix it and he wasn't going to make it right either.  I told him that I was going to go online and make sure everyone knows about the type of service they provide and how they rob their customers....he told me he would have me sued for trying to ruin their reputation.

Then he hung up on me.  He also stated that it says in their disclaimer that you may pay more than what is on the tickets.  I don't think anyone would ever think there would be that much of a difference.  This is outrageous.  I cannot believe a company can survive like this.  They have no morals or integrity.  Which would explain why they also have zero customer service.  I would not in a million years buy another ticket from them ever in my life.  It is definitely buyer beware with this company.  I would rather pay more elsewhere and know that I am not being robbed then to ever give them another dime.

Rush Concert

AUTHOR: Goody Tickets Dispute Department - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 23, 2013

We recently received the complaint about a Rush Concert being held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. and would like to address the concerns brought up by the customers daughter. As of now the same tickets (same section and row) are now selling for $183.00 each. This customer got the tickets for $178.00 each. The issue of the price we charged being different from the face value on the ticket.

The face value of the ticket is not a true price; it is a suggested retail price. True prices are set by supply and demand. We have no control over the pricing. We provide a paid service to customers, including finding, purchasing and shipping tickets.  Our fees are included in the service charges portion on the customers receipt and are not shown on the face value of the ticket

On our website there are at least 4 disclosures before the customer checks out that state we are a resale marketplace, tickets are generally priced above face value and that we are not affiliated with the box office or venue.

Anytime dealing with an unsatisfied customer is difficult at best but made worse when there is yelling and no pause for response to the complaint. We regret that we were unable to successfully reassure this customer and hope that this will help to clear up some of the confusion.
