Grant Association rip-off! Clearwater Florida

I received a call on my cellphone from a gentlemen with an english accent informing me that I was eligible to receive a guaranteed grant of at least $5,000.00. He explained that my household was selected because I am a US citizen and filed a tax return.

He asked what I would do with the money. He proceded to verify my name and address. I gave him that last four digits of my SSN for security purposes. He provided information for me to verify which he did after asked a couple of times. I used the information to perform a websearch, during which he got to the point where informed me of the $249.00 fee for the package.

The websearch returned several hits including this website and I immmediately hung up the phone. He attempted to call back, but I didn't answer the call. I think it was him even though it was a blocked number. I am never going to answer calls with blocked numbers again.
