I used to work for Granton selling coupons door to door. It does wonders for the business It's promoting, but it's a pyramid scam. I was promised $500 to $750 a week and usually raked in about $30 to $40 a day. there were even days I made nothing. They provide no base salary for their employees and no ties so if you were to leave there wasn't even an unemployment option.

Leaving with a new job lined up was also out of the question when you're working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week (again, for no money). There's also no chance of being fired because everyone working is an assett due to the fact that their is no money lost because their is no payroll. It's all independent contractors. So, Feel free to use this tool but keep in mind what it does to the people harrassing the countless neighborhoods around your business, as well as the countless neighbors being harrassed daily by these people that are barely making ends meet. If you have any sort of business ethic, you wouldn't put people through this sort of trap for your wallet.

I was almost there...

I went to an interview because a friend of a friend thought this would be a good idea for my friend. I went to the first interview and I knew something was up... I got a call that evening and got some more info... After doing a search on them on the internet, I am calling them in a few minutes to let them know I won't be interested in talking with them anymore.

The first "interview" was to check my resume and I guess make sure I wasn't from some other planet. They may even hire those from other planets... maybe a special travel package? The guy I spoke with was nice enough, good looking (great for getting the ladies involved!) and very well spoken. I had reservations though because the interview was too short. Sounds stupid I guess, but I have been to alot of other interviews and know better. The guy said he was only hiring 4 people and that if I was one of them then he would call back later in the evening after he checked my referals.

About 6PM he did call and I was able to ask more questions... #1 What are the hours?

Answer... Monday through Friday, 10AM to 8PM. Oh, and half a day Saturday. I would get a day and a half off to recharge my batteries. hmmmm ok

#2... What is the pay?

Answer... About $500 a week to start... hmmm 55 hours... 500 a week... no home, no life, no opportunity to look for another job while working for them... sounds a little off, dontcha think?
This would work to $600 a week after 4 or 5 weeks, $800 after 4 months... and $1100 a month or more after a year. These times are only aproxamate. It depends on how well you do.

#4... What is the average age of the people who work for you?

Answer... Anywhere from age 18-60... BUT, well, he didn't actually have teenagers working for him. and well, most people were 25 to 30... five. yeah, that's it.

These questions seem simple enough, but it gave me a lot of information. How did I find this site? I did a search on the company name. I also went to the website, but as nice as the site seemed, there was no text except "Watch Our Video!" Just one more reason to stay away.

If it sounds to good... The music is synthisized.

In response to JPG for anyone looking to get into a marketing company. If they sell pieces of paper for a profit like; pizza hut, Orioles, Tires Plus, or any big company and they look like coupons to you, RUN as fast as you can out the door.

This company promotes for big name companies but really they take the unsuspecting college student and trick them into thinking going DOOR TO DOOR on 100% commission for 70-80 hours a week making less than $10,000 a year for the next three years is a privilege to be in.

This business does allow you to own your own company but they don't really help you. I personally put in four years of my sweat, blood, and tears into the business only to get out of it more debt than I can handle.

I will have to declare bankruptcy to get myself out of the repo of my car, (I couldn't pay rent, training, electricity, and my car note at the same time) my eviction, dental bills, medical bills etc!

In the last three years I have made less than $10,000 a year, that's like $1.75 an hour. I don't say these things because I am spiteful I want everyone out there to know what a BRAIN WASHING business you are getting into.

I hope by people reading this at least one person interview, Distributor, Leader, Assistant manager, EVEN MANAGER will get out of this while you still have an opportunity to salvage your credit and your life.

This company has many other offices. They all have different names. Victory Promotions, Chicago, CRC Advertising, Washington DC, JPG Marketing, Boston, DeFrancesco Acquisitions, New Jersey, Cyndicate Solutions Inc, FLorida,J ohnson Marketing Insights, Pittsburgh, Ashlen, Inc., North Carolina, The Advertising Group, Los Angeles, Foundation Marketing, Alabama, San Francisco Marketing, Superior Marketing Solutions, Ohio, Universal Promotions, Texas, Concorde Marketing Solutions, LA, GLOBAL MARKETING STRATEGIES, Louisville, Worthy Marketing Group, FL, Langdon Promotional Group, Milwaukee, G.G.C. & Meriam Marketing, CO, and the list goes on and on. Every company that runs these door to door promotional advertising and marketing companies LIE to you.

Your IDA says you don't have to be there for the meeting, "You are not required to attend sales meetings this is a lie.

If you do not attend them then you will never make it to management. So you are basically selling stuff.

You have to pay for training if you don't you will never move up in the company. You have to be there on EVERY Saturday or you're not in the game on Monday.

You can't have social interactions with other independent distributors even though they are the only ones who understand your free time is limited to Sunday because you work 9AM TO 11 PM Every day!!!

The only reason I left was if you could never see yourself as Tommy Spiro, Derek Colontonio, Mark Kernan, or any other successful manager then get out.

Out of 1000 interviews, only 500 will be dumb enough, let me rephrase that desperate enough to respond, out of them only 250 will fit the profile of young mind molding dreamers, and only 175 of them will come in for interviews, out of that 25 will actually start and NONE of them will EVER make it to management.

For the lucky few who do, you will not make more than 20,000 as a manager and you don't even make that your company does. NOT YOU!!!

Your salary will be $250 every two weeks. You only need it for some bills; the rest goes into your business. For all you dreamers who actually think you have a chance and you are better than all the rest (what I thought) here is a list of EX managers I personally KNOW!!

Sky Chudleigh, Chris Orkney, Joanna Webber, Tony Fuchet, Mike Roth, Heather Ahern, Amanda Conklin, Chris Jones, Patty Noel, Lance Bowling, Jared Coyle, Mike Burian, Gary Commito, Gary Meyers, Maurica Hurley, Erin Grumbach, Melissa forest, Katy Lucht, Matt Holmes, and many more. For every successful manager you have 10-20 that fail.

Don't think it won't happen to you because you will always rely on people wanting to go door to door to make your money. You have no control if your office leaves, you can only go back into the field and expect no help because you don't need a bandaid, right MARK??? (National consultant for Granton Marketing) Please take my advice and get out.

I spent actual time on a Friday night to write this not because I have nothing better to do but because I want to warn people about this crooked, dirty, mind warping business they call entry level marketing.

Please tell everyone you know and even though they seep though the cracks for law the 1000 people I tell will know to NEVER fall prey to this DOOR TO DOOR type of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
