GripGo phone holder Buy one get one free for $10.00 converted in a $67.51 bill! Internet

I was watching TV and I saw GripGos ad of a phone holder Buy one get one free for $10.00. I went to the computer, found the same ad online and ordered one. When I was placing the order this happened:

-      I found Order Now and placed order

-      I gave my credit card number information and enter

-      When I was expecting to see the bill and the shipping costs, instead I saw an Order Confirmation! I was surprised!

This was the bill:

o    GripGo phone holder           10.00

o    Free phone holder              9.99

o    Sale tax                              5.72

o    Shipping & Handling             31.80

o    Total                                67.51

$67.51 for a $10 product!

-      I used the phone number that I had copied from the TV ad and called GripGo; it was disconnected

-      I looked at the internet page if there was an address of the merchant, or phone, e-mail, or a fax number; there was none.

-      I was trapped. I realized that this company intentionally tried to be hidden and inaccessible to the customers!

I went to Google search to look for a phone contact information of this merchant, and there was none. I continued my search on Google and I found a complaint from another customer who had also the same experience that I had, and this complaint had the phone number of GripGo. Thanks to ripoffreport.com I was able to call GripGo.

I was complaining about this unfair business practices, and the guy on the phone kindly gave me the complaint address. I cancelled my order.

Gentlemen: is this the kind of business that you want to handle? Is this the way that you will conduct your business, and the way that youll use to attract customers? You are wrong! Youll pay for your actions. I intend to send a copy of this letter to as many customers protection organizations that I can find, and Ill try to inform the public about your unfair business practices before they are deceived by your false advertising. Let us see who is going to win the battle! Business like yours shouldnt have the right to do business in US.

Conclusion. From now on, before I place an order in the internet Ill be sure that I have the address, and an easy contact with the merchant by phone and by e-mail. If the merchant does not provide all this information, and is easily accessible to the customer, such a merchant is unqualified to receive business.
