Hair Sensations And Tanning - Owners RaDean & Alonzo Briscoe - Cheryl Crowelly Ripoff They were extremely dishonest destroyed my hair refused to return my money cussed me out my scalp has blisters as it is a chemical burn on my scalp I also found out that the cosmotologist that did my hair has had her Indiana license expired since June 2006 Evansville Indiana

My hairstylist had moved to a new location. I called the new location about my appointment on May first 2007. The owner informed me my hairstylist had left. I said Oh! o.k., thank you. I was at my sister's apartment when I made the call. Within seconds the phone rang, caller I.D. said Hair Sensations and Tanning. I answered. The woman said her name was Dena Briscoe the owner of Hair sensations and Tanning. Dena said she had a stylist that had done hair shows for Las Vegas and New York City. dena said the woman does her hair and has been there for three years. I said well, my hairstylist is excellent and for foil high lights and low lights and a trim, she only charges $85.00. I also said I drive an hour there and back because she does such a good job.

My husband is a Family Physician, a third year resident...He is busy and we are in debt so I only get my hair done every four months..It is a very big deal to me.This woman said let me call you back. The phone rang, it was Dena Brisco, her hair stylist Cheryl would do all that my stylist did for only $5.00 more.I thought,well I will give it a try. After all this OWNER called me, and had a very good stylist. I went on May 1,2007. My appointment was at 10:00 a.m. I had to leave at 2:oo p.m. at the latest, my son gets off the bus at 3:00. It is a hour drive,my son is only 8 years old.So, I waited until 10;47 a.m. An African American woman 7 feet tall walked in,very unhappy looking and her and Dena went into the back and did whatever for another 15 minutes. The unusually large woman came out and said lets do your hair. The woman then poured chemicals on my hair. I said HEY! This is not how you you do foils. The woman replied this is a "new technique". Then what appeared to be a mixture of very black stuff was slopped on my hair.I exclaimed "I made it very clear on the phone that I wanted foils WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" The very large woman said if you don't like it GET UP AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I said Mam, even if I want I can't,you have all these chemicals on my hair. I am interested in seeing your NEW TECHNIQUE. I knew she was destroying my hair,talking to me in a threating tone and very rudely. If I would have left HOWEVER, all my hair would have burnt off, AS IT NEEDED RINSED LIKE RIGHT THEN AND THERE.

The owner Dena sat by me the whole time and did not say a word, I was stunned!What kind of owner is that! I was also very intimidated by this extremely large rude woman.The woman is a former pro basketball player from L.A. is what I was told. I am blonde and much smaller and for whatever reason,this woman obviously hated me. My best friend took me there and she was very upset,but did not say a word. I had never been on this side of town so my friend drove me from her apartment in Newburgh.I am glad she was there, she witnessed all of it.... I THOUGHT NO WONDER RAINELLE MY STYLIST LEFT!Soon it was 2:00 p.m. My hair was orange, awful looking,brassy and very dark in other spots and cheetah patterned in others! I said OH MY GOD! I told you it is messed up! The woman Cheryl said oh, it is the lighting,go to the bathroom it will look different in that lighting. We went to the restroom. I thought this woman is unstable! Of course it looked no different! My scalp burned, and I said I don't like it!

I was going to pay, but they did not have a machine for my debit card. My friend jumped up and payed with a check and said who do I make it out to? The sign behind the desk said ALL CHECKS MUST BE MADE OUT TO HAIR SENSATIONS AND TANNING. I READ IT OUT LOUD.. The owner said,oh,make it out to Cheryl,you are in a hurry. My friend did,I said wait! I am not happy with this. The owner and Cheryl said when it dries it will look better. I went out the door with my friend who said "Laura they scared me,and your hair is ruined...."I went to A.T.M. payed my friend and went to pick up my son.

My husband, when he saw my hair was speechless. My hair was falling out and a horrible color. I had called the salon,minutes down the road, in my friends car on my cell. I had asked the owner for a refund. All of a sudden her cosmotologist who has been in hair shows,and with her for 3 years, became an independant contracter that she rented to. I would have to call her, and she gave me the number. I called the number and said my hair is even worse and is DRY,BRITTLE,AND FALLING OUT.I WANT A REFUND. THE WOMAN SAID NO! The woman Cheryl said I WILL FIX IT for you. I knew that she couldn't...no one can....I said Mam I am not being mean,but you will never touch me again.

I then cried all night,couldn't sleep.I LEFT COUNTLESS MESSAGES,AS NO ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE. I cried the next day.I went to my doctor and got put on an anti- depressent. I then called our state licensing department in our capitol. This woman Cheryl Crowelly has had her license EXPIRED for a YEAR almost...Expired since JUNE 2006..I left many messages for the owner Dena. I took pictures.I had two hairstylists look at my hair,they were shocked and had NEVER seen anything that bad. One attempted to repair the damage and did all she could. It is beyond repair...The owner Dena called and left a message to my many messages I had left. I decided to call her husband ,the other owner. He wasn't going to return my $90.00 and said the women were saying things that conflicted with my story. I simply said sir,YOUR WIFE CONTACTED ME! THE SERVICE WAS NOTHING AT ALL LIKE I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE.YOU ARE LIABLE AND I CAN SUE AND WIN! FOUR INCHES OF MY HAIR ARE BURNT OFF,SORES ON MY SCALP,my hair is hideous...I said Cheryl Crowelly is working there,ILLEGALY..Alonzo said I will call you later tonight.I called the salon. A man answered and said WHAT!I said with whom am I SPEAKING? The man said Cheryl. Then I said, I called Indianapolis today,your cosmotology license has been expired for almost a year. Since June 2006...Cheryl yelled AND? I described the extensive damage.Cheryl yelled and threatened YOU TOLD PEOPLE I SAID FOR YOU TO F***ING GET UP OUTTA THAT F***ING CHAIR...THEN MANY OTHER F***S and I said, I will see you in court. I called my husband at the hospital, he was with a patient, and called me back. I told him what happened and he said I will call you back. My husband called back and had talked to Alonzo Briscoe. Alonzo said if I would sign a paper of sorts that I could come on Friday the 11 0f May. I would get a check for $90.00 from Cheryl .I said sir, Cheryl JUST ANSWERED YOUR BUSINESS PHONE AND CUSSED ME OUT. IF I do go there, I will bring the police.I think the woman is unstable, I didn't tell him that, I SAID VIOLENT instead. No one has apologized...(This is the WORST HAIR EXPERIENCE, and my husband is a high profile man here in this small area we live..Everyone will look at me, they do when I am normal looking..) I am humiliated,hurt,shocked, and in physical pain as well as emotional. All I WANT IS MY $90.00, AND AN APOLOGY. Any way I tell Alonzo, I am anxious, and fearful of this woman.(Actually I do not know how to get to area, my friend took me.)Sorry off the subject again. Alonzo says do not bring the police you will be safe.
