This report is about Al Garner. He is the the general Manager at hanlees toyota. Many people have problems with him but are so afraid to report him. I've heard people say that it's no use because he makes so much money for the company that the owners, one of them han lee, just advice Mr Garner to simply fire anyone that complains about anything.

I use to work there and have seen all of the disgusting things that made it so horrible to go to work. If your a new what they call "gree pea" you wiil go through hell untill you get the hang of the job. If you screw up in anyway he will not have any problem humilliating you infront of people. I guess it gives him a sence of power,or something.

He has a thing about calling everybody "hey". You never hear him calling anyone by there name. Mr.Garner and some of the other managers love saying to there employes" look here you little fu**er, or come here you little b***h. there's also been numerous times when customers just get up and leave because his insults are so loud.

Another thing that really frustrated me is that there are certain cars like the prius's that if you sell those, there's good comission in it for us. As soon as the owners started with that, Mr.Garner advised everyone that they not dare sell any of them. He said that if a customer was interested in one of those vehicles, to turn the customer over to him or they would get fired, so I did about a dozen times already.

There have been times when I so felt like punching his lights out. Especially the times when a customer would come in and try to get a good deal on a vehicle. I mean everyone wants to get the lowest possible but there has been many,many times when i,ve heard al yelling "get the hell out of my lot"you cheap a*s fu**er.

Mr.Garner has another favorite thing that he likes to do. Besides insults and telling us "you ugly piece of sh*t". He loves to hit his employes. Hes always smacking us, and slapping us on the head, but we can't do it back even though he thinks it's funny and just playing around. Another thing that's funny to him is holding peoples checks.

Unfortunatelly it happened to me. I asked him every day for my check after everyone recieved there's. I threatened to leave and I was gonna tell him that I'd report him but the other employes advised me not to say that since the last gut got fired for threatening that they'd report him. I could'nt afford to get fired, so I waited and waited, untill after two weeks of being very quiet and angry at work, he gave it to me.

How could I say anything when so many people had issues with him and he's still working. The owners are also so at fault for all of this too since they know how he is. Mr.Garner actually tells the owners what to do and they follow. I guess hes making them that much money.

The reason why I left was because I was bringing the stress home to my family. Even though it's possible to make some good money in car sales, it's not worth it. I'm not gonna come home and bring stress from work to my wife and two kids just because that swine of a boss thinks we all need to bow down to him.

There are so many more things going on there far worst than what I mentioned here. The worst of all of them is the video tape that I found. I brought it home and dubbed it. I shows the managers and employes having sex with other female employes and female customers offering to give them sex for a nice discount on the vehicle they want. You can see them doing it in various rooms and outside in the back. I'm afraid to show it, but i don't know yet.

How can we catch this guy. It should be easy. everything he does is so out in the open. I still get in contact with some of the workers and they are so stressed out too,but can't quit due to fact that they need that paycheck. The employes all put on a straight face at work, but when they call me, I can relate there frustration.

What Al Garner doesn't understand is that what comes around goes around and all that money and power that got to his head will slowly dissapear.

Many people feel that once person's thoughts are reduced to black and white that it must be true. However, this 100% contradicts that theory. There are some truths in this story Al Garner is the General Manager of Hanlees Toyota in Davis, but the truth end there.

There are three corporate owners and none of them are named Han Lee. At some point or another in many peoples lives they feel that they have the talent to be a salesperson and many of them are drawn to automotive sales because of the earning potential. A very small percentage of these people actually succeed in this type of sales for many reasons - hours, personalities, or just inner drive. This results in failure, which a number of people cannot admit to nor take responsibility for. This is a business, terminations do occur. everyone deals with termination differently because this is failure. what you have read is just one person's way of dealing with their failure.

Any Toyota dealer will tell you that not just anyone can sell a prius. Being that it is a hybrid vehicle. Hanlees Toyota requires that all sales associates, before they can even speak to a potential customer about a prius must go through a lengthy certification process which includes individual testing to insure that each and ever customer is provided with accurate information, this maintains our dealership's good customer service.

It is a well-known fact that working in the automotive industry requires you spend long hours at the dealership. To cope with the long hours joking and having fun with fellow employees makes your time at work more enjoyable.

All dealerships have staggered hours for employees however payday is a set day and not all employees are schedule to work at the time the payroll checks are given out. do to the privacy act the payroll check can only be given to the employee and for further employee protection the general manager only hands out paychecks. Occasionally there may even be errors on a person's paycheck, which may cause a delay.

This dealership does infact have security cameras located outside. These cameras were installed several years ago to protect the inventory from vandalism and theft. These tapes are only viewed if theft or vandalism has occurred. These tapes are the property of the dealership.

People with ethics, high standards and morals have nothing to hide. so the statement from this story that every thing he does is so out in the open. is true.

In many ways Al Garner has helped a large number of employees and people in the community. It would be a wonderful thing to see Al receive his long over due rewards for these efforts.
