I gave Hannah's Salon a try because they have extremely reasonable prices. Well, I had an appointment with Beth and I had problems with highlights and lowlights the first time around...pretty much looked like a skunk and that was not the look I was looking for. So I went back and and she tried to get the dark dark streaks out, they just turned a very orange rust color.

The total BS came this last appt. I told her exactly what I wanted and its like she either doesn't listen or screws people's hair up on purpose. A friend of mine Sabrina also went to Beth @ the salon and had major problems and never went back. So this is not just me but this last visit she litteraly burned my whole scalp...

I mean serious burn I have blisters and welts all over my head and had to go to the Dr. When I asked for a total refund because once I got home I seen AND FELT what had totally happened to my hair. I have been dying my hair blonde since the 4th grade and I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE...the reponse I received from the Owner Hannah is that I already got a discounted price and Beth did exactly what I asked....

so I guess if you decide to take a chance at this salon keep in mind that they can burn your whole scalp and tell you it's what you asked for. INSANITY! My physician looked at my scalp today and I have severe chemicals burns on my whole head and on my chin. The last process she tried because she seems to only be able to get anyone's hair a nice brassy yellow-orange or black like a skunk...she reprocessed again.....left it on my head what was supposed to be 20 mins...

well that turned into about 28-30 minutes because she had to go in the back and take care of someone else. Then after she rinsed me and was blow drying she said OMG you have a severe burn reaction and showed me and I literally had blisters welt up all over my head. She even started to cry because of what she did. At this point my head is full of puss filled pockets that are starting to scab and my head hurts when I go into the sun.

And again I paid $55 to have someone produce severe blisters all over my scalp....not to mention the toner she tried before she reprocessed turned my roots more yellow and my light ends a nice violet grey. She said Oh, I can wash that out...well while some of it washed out it is still a nice shade of purplish-grey on my ends. I'm sorry but with myself and my friends having a horrible experience Beth shouldn't even be permitted to do hair.

Then when I called and complained I got a callback at the end of the day saying Beth did what I asked her to do. Well, pretty much everything I looked up online says that it is the stylist's reponsibility to do a PATCH TEST on the client....this was never done period. Now I have to worry about possibly my hair falling out along with the pain of my whole head hurting despite the hydro. cream the Dr. has given me along with an oral antibiotic. Hopefully this will save someone from going through what I did.

IMHO I wouldn't go to anyone at the Salon but if you take the chance because the prices are so cheap...ur going to get what you pay for and stay the heck away from Beth. I will surely be spreading the word about the stylist and the salon but you would think at least own up and refund my $55 that I paid for pain and damage to my scalp but I'm pretty sure they know they've lost myself, daughter, also my other friend that this happened to and every single person I work with in the largest Hospital in the area....and blasting it here on the net. I have pictures of my scalp and hoping I don't loose hair but will be watching for it and may have to take legal action if things go from horrible to h*ll!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON LADIES!!

Love Beth from Former Salon hopper

AUTHOR: wendy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 18, 2011

I went there first because I had a 1/2 off certificate and Beth was who was on duty, I go back cause Beth is the BOMB! The last time I got my hair done I have had the most complements I have EVER had and felt very beautiful! I have an appointment in a few weeks and cant wait for her to take care of this mop on my head and get me back to where I was last time I walked out of there! I understand that the person probably did get chemical burns and that is a potential side effect of this process, also knowing Beth just from being a client she never would have wanted this for that person and probably feels very bad it happened.

Great Salon

AUTHOR: Opinionated princess - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, December 06, 2010

I went to Hannahs because everyone I work with highly recommended them. Hannah cut and colored my hair was very happy. I actually am a salon jumper I have a few people that I really like and like to go to all if them. Someone else fried my hair. Hannah was booked I got in with Beth. She had given me facials before pedicures she's awesome. She trimmed my fried and hair and fixed my hair to my liking. I've learned my lesson and will just go to them from now on. Beth is very knowledgeable! I've been coloring my hair since 7th grade various colors. Accidents happen. They have happened to me. I myself have damaged my hair repairing he accident. Its something we live with if we have no patience to let hair get healthier before we color again. Coloring your hair since fourth grade I'm convinced you know what happens when you do several processes. I'm sure your all healed up now and going somewhere else which sounds like the best idea for everyone involved

Hannahs Rocks

Well, I was sitting in the chair next to you when that happened.  First of all she warned you that she couldn't get it as light as you requested and you insisted and secondly, you have overprocessed hair.  Don't ask for miracles at salons.  Beth is a fine stylist and a wonderful person.  I have my hair colored and highlighed about every eight weeks and have never been disappointed. I think they try to do what clients want even if its extreme.  I always take a picture in with me, so they have a clear idea of what I have in mind.  If your friend came out looking like a skunk, then she probably requested something very odd.  They are a fine bunch of stylists, not miracle workers and I highly recommend them as do several of my friends.  What you experienced was a typical bad chemical reaction and nothing more and what salon EVER does a test before they chemically treat your hair?  I think your claim is very unfair.  You asked for your hair to be lighter  than what was possible and Beth was trying to accomodate you against her better judgement.  So, to all of your co-workers at the BIG hospital, I say, give them a chance and when a stylist tells you something isnt a good idea...listen to them. If I was them I would take you to court for slander and I would certainly be willing to testify as a witness, as I was there the entire time.  That being said, I hope you healed up well and learned to listen to the professionals.

Hannah's Changes in Attitude

AUTHOR: Whitemamacita - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 07, 2009

Just an update on the situation. To answer the satisfied customer above...I did go to my family Dr. and was told I have 2nd degree chemical burns all over my scalp but I ALSO work at a hospital so all the RN's on the floor were looking at my scalp in disbelief because it looked so bad. I am glad that your happy with whatever Beth is doing for your hair but what was done to mine was rediculous! And as the other salon owner said taking dark brown hair up to a light blonde is VERY POSSIBLE. As for myself going to different salons, what does that have to do with the crappy job she's done on my hair?? Also, to this date was never refunded which a good business owner would of done or anything else. I'm sorry but I stick to my opinion and my hair was a hot mess and will need major color correction when I go to get it done in a couple months. I also have two other employees that work with me, one that received a hair cut and one that had color done by Beth...the haircut was not anything that she asked for and she went back (so a total of two tries) and then the color...her hair looked like a skunk with big black pieces and white pieces so she went back to fix and just went all the way dark. So, I am not the only one that has had problems with this stylist. So literally every person that I know that has went to Beth will never go back again.

Satisfied Customer - This Report Is NOT Adding Up....

AUTHOR: Voiceofreason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 06, 2009

I just thought I would chime and in provide a positive outlook and review for the salon. I have never had any problems and have been getting my hair done by both Beth and the owner since the salon opened. I have always recieved exactly what I asked for, using superior, high quality salon products and treatments, with the experience and professionalism I would expect, all delivered at a reasonable price.

While I am sorry that this person had this experience, I am a bit puzzled as to why the person who filed this complaint has an RN reviewing the images, IF, as per her own submission, she has already seen a doctor? That makes no sense to me, did she really see a doctor and if so, why have an RN look at the pictures? An RN is not more qualified than a doctor....

Something isn't adding up here, mamacita, are you being 100% truthful about the details surrounding this incident?

Also, I have to question a few other comments, I personally have visited about 3 hairstylists in my life, so your statement about "I used the same hairdresser for 3 years" is kinda moot, it affirms that you are indeed a salon skipper. I also do not believe that you have dyed your hair since 4th grade. IF true I could imagine your hair was already fried before you stepped foot into this salon.

I do not deny that this happened, and I for that I am sorry. I just do not think you are being 100% honest about the details surrounding the incident.

Call me a liar..whatever I have the proof with pics and RN's looking at it @ work

First off no matter what you say Beth did not check on my last 3rd process..she was too busy doing some guys nails or something in another room. She didn't even hear the timer go off and Hannah had to send someone back to get her. Also, NOT ONE PERSON in the shop said to me we shouldn't process you anymore, shouldn't be done right now..beth knows that she wasn't lifting my hair and kept throwing one product onto another and another. As for my hair being thin and unheathy has gotten worse because the 4 months off an on I had beth doing my hair. Also, I have had super blonde hair down to beyond the middle of my back...so it is possible to lift MY VERY DARK HAIR..which you say is impossible to do cuz your not a magician. You say that Beth shouldn't take full responsibily for my 2nd degree chemical burns I have on my scalp...this meaning that part of it is my fault. I mean seriously COME ON! I have friend of mine tell me her terrible experience with Beth also when I was telling her about mine. She went back and just went all dark b/c her highligting was choppy thick black and blonde stripes. Also, you say people that know me know what kind of person I am, how the heck do you know what kind of person I am? I do not personally know you or friends with anyone at Hannah's salon...so that was a bogus statement and untrue. Then lastly as for being called a salon jumper, skipper...what ever the heck you say is not true. I have been dying my hair blonde since the 4th grade and when I hit high school had it professionaly done and not on my own. One stylist I had I went to for like more than 3 years and unfortunately she had to move...doesn't sound like a person that bounces to a bunch of salons. I only tried your salon based on pricing period. If I would of been told by my friend the major problems she had with Beth before I went to get my hair done I would of never stepped foot in the door. As I said a hairstylist best advertising is their clients that are happy with them and refer others to the place. So the more negative experiences people have from anyone in your salon will just reflect badly on the salon in general and spread the word to family and friends and even here on the net.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Should have never been charged with damage like that.

AUTHOR: Sdoc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 20, 2009

You would think a salon would want to keep customers happy because we all know that word of mouth is the way the stylist get their clients. If you have one very unhappy person, you can count on that person telling every friend, coworker, family ect....on the experience. I mean we have all went to beauty school gather the information to prefent this from happening. Now if for some crazy reason I had done this to any client of mine I would not charge them a penny and also offer the client a discount to return once the scalp healed. I have taken many client from dark brown hair to super blonde hair, without having to do 3 seperate applications. Ok, so the damage is done already and you can't take it back but the salon very easily could have not charged the client because of scalp damage and the color still being off. It is easy for stylist to have a mistake but by not rectifying the situation it is only speading negative views on your salon and us hairdressers know that word of mouth is the best advertising there is.

Everything is not always as it seems!!

AUTHOR: Hardworkinmama - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 16, 2009

I was told of this report and became instantly disgusted!! The really wrong part of this story is that not all the facts are stated and some of what is stated is a lie. I myself have done hair for a very long time, and I happen to know Hannah and her salon, and workers including Beth very well!! I am also very familiar with this whole story from beginning to end as I was consulted on this situation. First of all the person who wrote this complaint, is a hibitual salon skipper... which in so many words means that she will go from salon to salon because she claims that no one can give her what she wants. She had naturally very dark hair and it is very thin and fine, she wants the impossible and we are not magicians. She was informed that she should not do too many processes in one day and that it can have consequences, but being the demanding client that she is, she wanted it right then and there. She was timed and the product was rinsed off after 20 min. with Beth checking on her constantly making sure that her head was feeling okay, trying to prevent chemical reaction as much as possible. Everyone's head, hair, body chemicals and systems are different. Everyone reacts to chemicals differently and yes there are times when a patch test is necessary, however, she has been getting her hair done there a few times with no issues so there was nothing to warrent a patch test. If a client is taking a medicine it can also react to the hair chemicals, and it is the clients responsibility to inform the stylist of any medical and/or medicine changes. Unfortunately, things happen, there are some things that are just unpredictable and you can only do the things which are in your own contol. I completely understand being upset and having a hard time with something that is so awful to deal with, but in the same respect.... putting all the blame on someone else, doesn't make things all better, it may feel better at the moment to release your anger, but in the long run it won't solve anything and only show your ugly side. The people that really know this person and how she is I am sure know to take what she says with a grain of salt. She definitely is not a trustworthly, honest person who wants to make others as misserable as herself.
