Hewlett Packard, Nick W. Delayed Warranty Repair Palo Alto California

I sent my HP Spectre 360 15.6 laptop in for warranty repair, for a cracked screen, August 18th 2016 and was initally told that it would take a wek to repair. After a week and not receiving the laptop I contacted HP, which was extremely difficult, they told me it would be another month, now they are telling me a target date of September 27, 2016.

They said that they do not have any replacement parts. I asked them, don't you manufacture this laptop?, Just take a screen off the production line and replace my laptop, worse case, take a laptop out of the box and remove the screen, repair my laptop and then when you receive screens install it on the one out of the box then sell it.

I just cant believe it takes so long. I has to buy a seperate warranty for damage $200.00, even though I believe it to be a design flaw with the thin construction that caused the screen to break, of course they will not admit that. This is the second time I have had to send the laptop in and I only bought it in March. The first time was for a faulty motherboard, which they replaced within a week.

I just can't believe it is taking a manufacturer this long to repair an item which they manufacturer. They sure do not stand behind their product.
