My laptop started giving me beep errors during the power on self test in June of 07, it wouldn't start for me 19 out of 20 times. I sent it in for repair and in 3 weeks, received it back. When I got it, I got the same beep errors and the problem that they had on their resolution was that I had bad RAM. When I did get it to start my one time out of 20, it said I was missing 512 megs of RAM.

Calling back, I was able to send it in again for a repair on my LCD screen (which had been broken) and to get my RAM brought back to my original 2GB of RAM.
I received my Laptop back and the screen was fixed, but my initial problem was not resolved, I STILL could not get my laptop to start 19 out of 20 times AND they had not given me back my RAM that they had stolen. (Might I add for future reference that to get ahold of my case manager I had to call Tech Support. They never called me.)

Finally fed up with the fact that they have not fixed my problem and have not given back to me what was taken, I requested that I have my latop replaced. I was told that I would be called by my case manager and they would work something out with me. This was in September.

October rolls around and after calling a dozen times, getting ahold of a case manager other than my own and being told they would do nothing for me as one of their peers was handling the issue, I start getting very angry. My laptop has been unusable for almost 6 months and I have spent ALOT of time and resources continuously calling and trying in vain to get ahold of MY case manager.
On October 17th, my case was cancelled for some unknown reason, so I got a new case and a new case manager. His name is Barton. I told him I wanted a refund at this point as I can see that HP is a horrible company to have a warranty from and they couldn't care less about their customer service. He actually agreed that would be a good route. (the problem with my laptop was a dead video card 1 long beep 2 short beeps which both he and I found in about 5 mins on the internet.) He then told me he would call back once he got my order number from a different department and would continue this process with me.

Here I am, it's December 5th. No calls, no NOTHING. I have called tech support roughly 20 times and I have called him at his "personal" number about 50 to 60 times (I'm not exaggerating) and have never gotten ahold of him. His voicemail was full for about a week.

I am fed up with this company and want my $1400 back that I paid for this laptop as I haven't even been able to use it for 6 months of this year. My warranty has run out and I DONT want to pay for another warranty as I NEVER want to work with this company again!
