I have a small loan with Beneficial. Since I opened the loan, last January, I have people from that office call me on a regular monthly basis to try and get me to come in there and talk to them about a mortgage. I would never have a mortgage with them, plus my house is in my name and my soon to be ex-husbands name and is about to be sold.

I have told the people in the Broad Street office this at least thirty times. They submitted a mortgage loan for me after telling them I was not interested and did not have time to talk to them. Of course the office refused to give me the headquarter phone number.

I got the number from another office and reported them. I thought it was being taken care of until I got a phone call from Carla Crevelle, the branch manager. I told her the same story. She told headquarters that I told her "I couldn't remember if I applied for a mortgage or not" so headquarters says I have no eveidence to support the claim.

They turned down the mortgage that I didn't apply for just to screw up my credit. Dealing with these people is like being in the twilight zone. They are crooks.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

getting turned down does not ruin your credit

AUTHOR: Kristi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 12, 2007

Just so everyone knows, getting turned down or approved for a loan, mortgage, etc. does NOT ruin your credit. The only thing that reports is inquiries, meaning who is looking at your credit that you applied with. I don't know why so many people seem to think that getting turned down for a loan will ruin your credit. If you apply too many places and get a lot of inquiries, then yes, it will affect your credit.

Info for Debbie on being turned down

AUTHOR: Steve [Not A Lawyer] - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 08, 2007

Debbie,

Being turned down for a mortgage has absolutely no impact on your credit. It in no way will "screw up" your credit as you stated.

If you are dealing with HFC/Beneficial that in itself meand your credit was already screwed up.

These are subprime/high risk lenders, and there is a reason why people deal with them, and it's not because of having good credit.

These were agressive loan originators calling you. They work on commission. They are salespeople.

You cannot apply for a mortgage without a 1003 being filled out and a truth in lending statement being signed by you.

How do you know that they applied for a loan on your behalf? Did you get a denial letter in the mail or what?

The Richmond Office - fraudulent crooks who are endorsed by their Customer Resolution Department

AUTHOR: Debbie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 07, 2007

I have a 14,000 credit line with Beneficial which is of course very hight interest, and has always been paid on time with much more than minimum payments. I keep this line of credit "just incase". These people are like a cult - they call several times per month trying to get me to come in and sit down with them so they can discuss a mortgage with them. I would never, ever have a mortgage with that company. I just finished telling yet another of their "cult" employees that my house is being sold within a year due to divorce. A week later, I received a mortgage application to sign. I called the office and told them I did not apply for a mortgage and I wanted the headquarters phone number. They refused to give it to me and I got if from a different branch.

I contacted the Customer Resolution Department and was told that the office would receive severe reprocussions. The manager from the Richmond branch, Carla Crevelle (Queen Crook) called me and I told her the exact same thing. - I did not apply for a mortgage, I'm in the middle of a divorce and the house is titled in both names, and the house was being sold.

Immediately after I talked to her, I received a notice saying my loan had been turned down two weeks earlier - which was before the fraudulent loan was even submitted.

I just got a letter from Customer Resolutions stating that the branch manager , Carla Crevelle, told them she contacted me and I told her "I couldn't remember weather I submitted a mortgage application or not". How many people can't remember weather or not they applied for a mortgage? They have decided there is no evidence that the office did anything wrong - I guess I'm just stupid.

Go figure, I owe 182000 first mortgage, 40000 second mortgage and I would have to buy my ex out of the equity. They say I applied for a 60000 first mortgage. And yet, the manager is not the one that is lying - it is me.

These people are CROOKS, liars and operate like a "Cult". I don't know what they they they will accomplish if they can lure you into their office but I know I would never have a mortgage with them. I have heard from others that they will change your paperwork to a mortgage after you've signed a paperwork for a non secured line of credit. If anyone is interested in a class action suit, let me know!
