Complaint Review: HughesNet Internet Service

HughesNet Internet Service Did not install the system properly. It cut off my land line, cell phone and the computer says it is off line. They refuse to come out and fix it.

I ordered HughesNet on 2/15/19 and the dish was install on 2/17/19.  The installer put up the dished, came into the house to remove the previous internet wire, install the HughesNet wire and moved anything plugged into the previous internet modem into the HighesNet modem.  He did not check to see if anything was working, just exlained where the password was located on the modem and how to enter the information into the TVs.  When he left, I noticed the land line modem was not lit, and when Itried the phone, there was no dial tone. 

When I tried to use my cell to call HughesNet the operator stated she could not hear me.. I went to a neighbor to call and was told to contact the installer.  I called the installer who said he could not come back and he had done what he was supposed to do by installint the dish and hook up the modem and anything else needed to be addressed through technical support.  This is a 2 year contract, so what am I to do if I have no phone, and my computer system, although it allows me to read emails and type, keeps saying I appear to be off line.

I have called technical support everyday since the installation to request they send someone to check to see if the dish and modem were installed properly, but Im always told that the internet was working according to their records and system.  I am also told to call when I am near the computer, but when I do, Im told either they cannot hear me or my words are breaking up.  One technical support had me talk to someone in sales to add their phone system which I did, but have not received it, and the last time I called, yesterday, I was told the phone system was in the mail.

I am a senior person in my 70's with very little technical knowledge, so I feel this is a form of fradulent Senior Abuse.  I can not get any help and none of my equipment works the way it used to.

I am frustrated and angry and don't know what else to do
