I got a cash loan from Impact Cash for $300. Two weeks after the money appeared in my bank account, $90.00 was debited from my account. This happened again for the next two week intervals. Finally after paying $270.00, I called to find out if the final $90.00 payment would constitute the end of the loan. I thought after 4 payments of $90.00, with a total of $360.00 being paid, I was finished. I thought the extra $60.00 was the fee for borrowing, boy was I wrong. They told me that the $90.00 taken out was not payments on the loan but a renewal fee they automatically filed for me every two weeks. From the paperwork, I was under the impression that if they were unable to debit my account for the funds then I was going to be charged a fee. I did not ask for a renewal nor did I want a renewal. I thought I was paying on the loan. Today after thinking I was finished I found out I still owe $325.00. What a Ripoff!

yada yada yada

AUTHOR: Daniel - (U.S.A.)

First of all, this company operates on Indian ground and isn't accountable to our laws. Not only are they not accountable to our laws nobody seems to know who they are accountable to.

I called the FTC who referred me to about 3 different places all of which were the wrong place.

They claim to govern the contracts by Indian ceremonies but it would only make sense that for them to sell to people other then indians that they would have to be governed by something in the US government but they don't appear to be.

Far from that, we have tested this company because of all the negative forum rants about them. They have never done anything that was illegal, wrong, or against any banking laws that we have, even though they aren't bound by them.

It sounds to me like this is either your first cash advance, or you simply didn't read the documents. Trying to get a cash advance in the US is pretty tough now-a-days since the government is outlawing them and has been for quite some time.

It only hurts American cash advance businesses however, the Indians can sell to anyone.

As im sure others here have explained, if you borrow $300 and it costs you $90 you will pay $90 until you schedule a payoff. Your payoff will also include the $90 fee, unless you pay it down.

Still alot cheaper then paying bank overdraft fees. Banks today after the bailouts charge overdraft fees for transactions that don't even overdraft an account, just ones that "could" of overdrafted the account.

The banks don't pay a dime yet they charge you $40 bucks for nothing.

God bless those that are still offering cash advances, if it wasn't a needed service it wouldn't be a service.

I worked for impact cash for alomst a year. I know ins- and outs of the company. I can help and testify for anyone willing to go forward with a class action lawsuit. I have proof of how they lies to all the customer about the loan processing, how they went into customers email accounts and signed there names to send out a fake loan without the customer knowing and spending it then having to pay back thousands. This company is the most fraudluent company out there/

UNJUST PERCENTAGE RATE FOR NO GOOD

AUTHOR: Gerri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 16, 2009

I HAD A FEW LOANS WITH IMPACT CASH BEFORE. IT ENDED UP BEING 390 FOR A 300 LOAN. WELL NOT THIS TIME. WHEN I NOTICED THEY HAD TAKEN OVER 500 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT I CALLED AND ASKED FOR A REFUND AND THEY SAID NOTHING OF THE PURPOSE WAS PAID. I SAID DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND THEY TOOK UP TO 900 OUT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL OF MY CHECKS BOUNCING AND MY ONLINE WITHDRAWLS FOR MY BILLS. MY CREDIT IS WORSE THAN BEFORE, AND NOW I AM IN THE HOLE FOR OVER 2,000 AND THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO SAY I OWE 165 MORE. AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY CAN CARE LESS WHEN I TELL THEM MY LAWYER SAID IT WAS UNJUST AND UNLAWFUL FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THIS LAST TIME THEY CALLED ME AND ASKED ME IF I WANTED ANOTHER LOAN AND THEY WOULD GIVE ME A $50.00 GIFT CARD ALONG WITH IT. I HAVE YET TO SEE THAT, THIS IS MONTHS LATER.

I WOULD LOVE TO START A CLASS ACTION. THIS GRIEF HAS GOTTEN THE BETTER OF ME. TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SOMEONE WHO ALREADY NOTHING.

Read the fine print

AUTHOR: Ladials - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 05, 2009

It is very unfortunate what happened to you but in all the corrospondance you recieve from this company, it is very apparent the cost for the fees and the process they take to try to get as much money out of you as possible. It is always best to pay the loan off in the first installment because the longer you wait the more you will pay in the long run

caveat emptor

AUTHOR: Tponzo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 22, 2008

I have done business with impact cash and other payday loan companies. They are very clear on the loan documents that the fee is charged every pay period until the loan is paid but is not part of payment on the loan. If you want to pay the loan off you must request additional payment to be deducted in addition to the $90 fee. You can usually make the pay downs in increments of $50 or more. All of this is clearly spelled out in the loan documents. You must always read everything before signing any financial documents and then decide if the cost is worth the benefit.

Not a ripoff

AUTHOR: Ray - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 22, 2008

This company is not a ripoff. When you get a payday loand anywhere there is a CSO fee which is like a finance charge. So if you take out a $300 lona you will need to payback $390. Some loan companies are cheaper than others some may charge $75 on a $300 loan but you have to read and ask questions so that you don't end up looking confused and assume you've gotten ripped off. I've used this same company before and the will automatically extend your loan if YOU don't take responsibilty and say he I want to do more than just extend my loan. I also want to pay something down since I am unable to pay my loan in full. So hey if you got messed over its no ones fault but yours. Read the fine print, ask questions, talk to a customer service representative. Its that simple but its definitely not a ripoff.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Read your loan documents

AUTHOR: 4185 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 08, 2008

Seems like you didn't do your homework... did your read your loan documents all the way through? It sounds like the $90 being deducted from your account was just the finance charge, which is NEVER included with your balance no matter who you are paying back (i.e, credit card companies, banks, lenders, etc).

Only paying the finance charge will surely increase your cost in the long run, which is why people usually try to pay off balances as soon as possible. The sooner you pay off your balance, the more money you will save. The longer you extend your loan, the more finance charges you will pay, and the more money the bank/lender will make. If you had paid off your loan on your first due date, your total cost would have only been $390, which is pretty standard for payday loans. Make sure you understand your loan terms before committing.
