Do not purchase their gift certificate for the manicure and pedicure with a 1 hour massage for $29-$39 because they sold over 4,500 and they are unable to return phone calls to schedule appointments.  The gift certificate expires in 1 year.  I've left countless messages and sent numerous emails for the past 3 months and no one has followed up with me for an appointment.  Stay away from these people.

Used to work for Impressions.... that was a bad mistake.  Basically I was an on-call massage therapist, which is very hard in this business. Anyway, I had one massage, client fell asleep. he even tipped me $20. He came back a few days later and complained.  The manager didn't tell me what the complaint was. He ended up getting a re-do, free of charge. Fine, whatever.  He's used to other people massaging him, I understand that.

So, I was told by the manager that she wanted me to wait a week, reason again, not explained other than I wasn't good enough.  This was said to me by the manager, someone who has NO massage education background... So A week goes by, I hear nothing.  I call her, nothing.  She finally gets back to me to tell me that I have to come in for a massage to show me how she wants it done.

I get the massage finally, after waiting an hour after my appointment was scheduled.  Oh AND I had to pay for it! $40!!! The massage was done by an esthetician.  Now, I don't have anything against them but the manager's comparing apples to oranges.  2 years of extensive knowledge of the human body to whatever it is they're taught as part of their program.  We massage differently.  It was a huge slap in the face to be told to dumb down my knowledge.

But nonetheless I take it as is and wait her for to call me........ and I get a call......

.... 2 weeks later.  I have another massage.  Now I was nervous because when you spend 2 years busting your arse in college to pass with 75% and up and pay near $1000 to become registered then are told you're not good enough, it kind of shakes you.

Anyway, so I do the massage and the client tells the manager that I was shaky.  Wouldn't you be?  Afraid to screw up and having to do the above ALL OVER AGAIN!

Thankfully I began looking for another job and was lucky enough to find one, while still waiting on the spa manager to call me.  I left countless messages.  and she kept telling my aunt (who goes to the gym their attached to) that she's been trying to get a hold of me.  Now unless she's dialing the wrong number there's no way she couldn't have gotten a hold of me.  I have voice mail, my cell is always on and I pay my bills on time.

Recently I just talked to her and before I told her I was leaving I asked when I was getting paid for the massages I did.  Oh did I forget to mention that part? Yeah, it's been 1.5 months and I haven't been paid yet. (I worked part-time somewhere else so i wasn't completely broke, thank God!)  Apparently I'm not getting paid... ever!

The first one was a re-do, fine, I understand that, sort of. But the second one paid, and I haven't seen a dime! So not only do they have horrible customer service. they have horrible interoffice relations.

I basically told her not to expect me back and I was working at place that wanted me.

So I understand your frustration at the poor excuse of a company as a whole.
